HaloGate: A Spartan's Test

After being engaged by Covenant forces, Spartan Lieutenant Commander Tom-292 is forced to make an emergency jump into slipspace. Upon his exit however he is confronted by... Earth. Just not the Earth he knows. Now he and his A.I. Hrothgar must quickly adapt to a situation that gets stranger and stranger by the second.

1. Foreword

Hi guys,

This is my first fanfic of any kind and it is desperately something that I wanted to do for a while now. I have read a couple of the other fanfics on this site and got so inspired that I decided to make one of my own.

I now look to commence this journey with you all and any and all criticism regarding my story will be taken with the intent of which it is written. I am well versed in most of the Halo and SG1 lore however if there are certain conflicting theories I will also look to take that information on board as well.

The setting for my story is somewhere in between the book Halo:Glasslands and Halo 4 and for the Stargate universe somewhere after the movie The Ark of Truth. My reasons for this as there is a lot of undocumented history about the times between said Halo book and Halo 4 and the same also applies to the fact that SG-1 ends sometime after The Ark of Truth. If there is any incorrect information regarding these timeframes please let me know.
