Change of Heart

"Sometimes it takes a lot of crystals to make something shine," I said to Sugar before glancing over at the door. Mike was standing there, smiling at me. I smiled back and he nodded his head and walked away.

"It's still ridic," Sugar said.

After Joe, Rory, Sugar and I were done sewing our Nationals outfits I headed out to my locker, surprised to find Mike waiting there for me.

"It's almost five," I said. "Have you been here the whole time?"

He nodded his head. "Yeah, I wanted to see you, but I didn't wanna bother the Costume Club." I grinned at him as I unlocked my locker.

"What made you change your mind?" He asked leaning against the locker to my right.

"Well, when I fell into the fountain I had this weird dream where everybody switched bodies. Like you were Joe and you had dreads and Joe was you and Kurt was Finn and Finn was Kurt and Blaine was Puck and Puck was Blaine, and oh my god Puck looks so weird with hair and Blaine just looks creepy with a Mohawk and anyway-" I took a breath. "I was Rachel and Rachel was me and I got to sing a song and I got my first standing ovation. And then Rachel as me gave me as her some advice to go see Carmen Tibedeau in person and not take no for an answer. So when I got out of the fountain and into dry clothes I told Rachel and we went to see Ms. Tibedeau and had some boding time and it was really nice."

I looked over at Mike and saw that he just looked incredibly confused. "You can just pretend that you understood that," I laughed taking my backpack out of my locker and putting it over my shoulder.

"So, you and Rachel had some bonding time and that is why you changed your mind about the solo?" He took my hand as we headed down the hall.

"Partly," I said. "We talked and you were right." I squeezed his hand. "This is her senior year. Not mine. Next year I'll get to be the female lead, hopefully with Artie since we will be the only two remaining original Glee Club members." I sighed. "Though Blaine will probably be the male lead.(1) Not that he isn't good enough, because he is. Just, Artie has been here longer, I think he deserves it more."

"Well I agree with that," Mike said. "I'm really glad to hear all this from you."

I bumped my hip against his and grinned.

"So how was Costume Club?" He asked. "I mean after Sugar complained."

"She complained the whole time," I said. "She's Sugar. It's what she does."

"That and carry around large sums of cash in her purse."

"I still cannot believe she did that!" I said giggling. "Like, even she has got to realize how stupid that is."

We were coming up on my car now, and Mike lifted his arm to twirl me.

"I love you Tina Cohen-Chang," he said.

"I love you too Mike Chang," I smiled at him. He pulled me against his chest and kissed me, the kind of kiss that is supposed to happen in privet. "You know," I said. "My parents won't be home until almost nine o'clock."

Mike grinned diabolically and kissed me again.

(1) I know a lot of people are made because of how many solos Blaine has been getting but I am not one of those people. Darren Criss could never sing too much and I am pumped that he will probably be male lead next year.

And that does not mean that I hate on Artie. He is one of my favorite characters and Kevin's voice is one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard. He also could never sing too much.

Meh, that wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be.
