Enrolment

Sirius snuck into his father's study and looked around the interior for the mysterious, bottled green substance he had heard him discussing earlier with his mother. Apparently, he had successfully used it to take the appearance of a ministry official and blocked a pro-Muggle law being passed, and he still had some left over. Supposedly, it could give you the appearance of anyone… all you needed was a hair from whoever you wished to become and bish, bash, bosh you could look like them for an hour.

Not seeing it anywhere, he began to open the cupboards. On the third one, he finally found it… his golden opportunity to finally accomplish something he had dreamed of since he was five years old.

He picked up the bottle and carried it over to his desk. He then removed the hip flask he had been gifted for his tenth birthday and flipped it open. Smiling to himself, he poured some in. Now all that was left was for him to get some of his father's hair. This would prove to be a much more difficult job, but he was more than up for it.

His father's hair had been easier to acquire than he had expected. All he had done was walk behind him on his way to his seat at the dining room table and pulled on out when his mother wasn't looking. His father hadn't even felt it.

And now here he was walking down the street with an air of confidence and a smirk on his face… after all, he had to maintain the posture and demeanour of Orion Black.

He struggled to keep the gleeful, childish smile off his face as he approached the Muggle School as he wondered just how long it would be before he would be able to join the boys and girls on the playground.

Briskly, he walked up the path towards the school and introduced himself at the office.

"My name is Orion Black," he said in his father's cool and calculated tone. "I have a meeting with Headmaster Longbottom to discuss my child's enrolment in your establishment."

"Yes, Sir, I see your name right here," the young brunette answered. "If you would like to take a seat, the Headmaster will see you shortly."

"Very well," Sirius answered, turning on his heel and taking a seat on the wooden chair outside the office.

As he waited, he smiled wryly at the child who was sat on the chair across from him.

"Here to see the Headmaster too?" he asked.

The dark haired boy stared at him blankly. "Who are you?"

"Sir—Orion Black," Sirius introduced himself, hoping the boy hadn't noticed his slip.

"So you're one of those privileged toffs?" the boy questioned. "Sir Orion Black."

"Never mind that," Sirius answered, deciding to get off the topic. "What did you do to end up here?"

"Nothing," the boy answered stubbornly. "All I did was stick my leg out; it's not my fault the stupid boy didn't see where he was going."

Sirius resisted the urge to smile. It was such a Muggle thing to do, but it was so hilarious.

"He—"

"Mr Black, the Headmaster will see you now," the brunette from the office called.

Sirius rose to his feet and placed his hand on the door handle, and entered the office. All being well, he would exit a fully enrolled student.
