(A/N) I don't know if this is going to turn into a full story but for now it's a one-shot. I hope you enjoy! This is my first Miraculous Ladybug one-shot that isn't crossed over with another show.

Chat Noir sat on the ground with his knee held tightly in his grip. There was blood running down the leg of his suit and he cringed at the sight of his wound. Ladybug had managed to fight off her father who had been akumatized into 'Weredad' after he'd been led to believe that Chat had broken his daughter's heart. Now that he was back to normal he was still a little upset with the super hero but worried none the less.

"I-I've got to go." Ladybug stuttered out when her earring beeped. She knew she couldn't leave so the tone in her voice sounded like a cry for help. Where could they go?

"You two can stay in our house so no one sees you." Sabine offered Ladybug and Chat Noir. The super hero immediately shook her head. Sabine and Tom had no idea their daughter was actually Ladybug. She couldn't let them know she'd been lying to them! They wouldn't understand that she was trying to protect them.

Then there was Chat. His ring was beeping too. They would both be transforming in less than a minute now. The clock was ticking. If Ladybug didn't get upstairs now then her parents would find out Marinette was gone and she'd have to tell them the truth. If she left Chat here then they'd figure out his true identity.

After a few second the decision became clear. Her mom and Dad would have to figure out her lie and the identity of Chat Noir. If only she knew his identity they'd find out who he was in the future and she'd be lying to them twice. She also knew they'd never be off her back.

What if Chat lost his interest in her once he saw Ladybug's true identity? Would Marinette herself be good enough to be his partner? Would their superhero lives become awkward? She knew deep down that her parents wouldn't tell anybody else who they were...but what about Ladybug and Chat Noir themselves.

Ladybugs anxiety was rising and Chat was bleeding. He had to get medical treatment now and there was a chance he'd have to be taken to the hospital. It didn't seem like his knee was broken, but 'Weredad's' thick claw had sliced right through the skin in the back of his knee. There was also a chance that he'd damaged the veins or worse an artery though Chat wasn't bleeding that much. If they were lucky he'd only need bandages. The real worry here was that he wouldn't be able to walk somewhere he could hide in time.

"O-Okay...w-we're running out of time. Help me get Chat inside." Tom nodded his head and reached for Chat who cringed back. The man smiled warmly. "I may be upset with you for breaking my daughter's heart but I feel bad for what I've done. This all happened because I let myself get so angry I was akumatized."

Ladybug knew she'd have to tell her father that she didn't even like Chat after they revealed their identities to the couple, but she didn't have the time as of the moment. Her mask started sparkling as she began to de-transform. She immediately bolted for the living room and ducked away from any windows.

Once Sabine knew Tom had Chat in his arms she ran inside where Ladybug was hiding. Chat's mask began glowing and he nuzzled his face in Tom's shoulder in an attempt to keep himself hidden. Despite his resentment towards the boy the father couldn't help but smile. He knew deep down that his human self wouldn't hurt the superhero, only make sure he didn't ever hurt Marinette again.

Sabine went wide eyed when she saw Ladybug transform back in a flash of light. She first noticed the pink bug-like thing floating near her. Then she looked at the young girl standing in the living room.

Tom entered the room just as Chat was transforming back completely. He was shocked by the sight in front of him. Ladybug-the young woman he'd thought to be at least a young adult out of school-was none other than his fourteen year old Marinette. He was confused though. Ladybug didn't show any kind of interest in Chat Noir from what the young man had said. Chat had said Ladybug always rejected him. Why would his daughter feel so strongly?

Then it hit him. Marinette put on an act to hide her identity. She felt the same about Chat Noir as Ladybug did. His anger towards the wounded boy his arms slowly washed away and now was replaced with guilt. He'd injured a boy who was already being lied too. Sure there was reasoning and justice behind Marinette's actions, but Tom had given the young hero such a hard time and filled him with so much guilt that he didn't actually deserve. Not only that but Tom was the reason why this whole emergency action had taken place from the beginning.

No one could tell who Chat Noir had transformed back into yet. The parents were so shocked by the sight of Ladybug suddenly turning into none other than their daughter and Marinette herself couldn't see the boy clearly because he was curled in on himself in Tom's rather beefy arms.

Plague sat on Adrien's shoulder with a sigh. The Kwami tried to comfort his owner with his tiny hand. Tikki was wide eyed and confused as to what was going on.

"Marinette!? Why are you here in front of your parents!? I thought you said we couldn't tell them." Tikki suddenly went off. She wasn't angry at all, just very confused.

It wasn't until he heard the name 'Marinette' that Adrien looked up in surprise. He stuttered the name with a shocked expression. "M-Marinette?!"

Marinette looked up and the sight to behold was one that sent her into a shocked emotion as well. "A-Adrien!?"

The two parents looked at each with confused expression. "Aren't you two friends? How did you now know each other's identities?" Tom asked.

Sabine cut him off. "Dear, we didn't even know our own daughter was Ladybug! It has to do with something in the power of their suits. If I saw anyone else with that mask on I'd probably recognize them. Why I didn't recognize Marinette is puzzling."

Marinette came out of her shocked state when her mother finished her sentence. She could see Adrien was breathing heavily and the blood that had originally covered his suit leg was now making a small stain on the left leg of his jeans.

"Mom he needs to get cleaned up." Marinette was surprised by how confident her own voice sounded, but she knew deep down it was her naturally protective nature. She always had a tendency to try and help people before herself. Her selflessness was always getting her into trouble. Perhaps that selflessness and loyalty was what made her the Ladybug she was.

"Tikki...Chat was injured. We had to come here. No one else knows who we are." Marinette told her Kwami was now sitting on her shoulder. She saw Plague was anxious and lifted her right palm. The kwami flew closer to her and landed in her hand so Tom and Sabine could take Adrien into the bathroom to get cleaned up.

"He's going to be okay Plague. Just a little scratched up." Marinette tried to calm the Kwami. Plague looked down sadly before perking up in an attempt to hide his weakness.

"I'm not scared for him I swear it! That Chat, always getting into trouble. Well if I wasn't here to keep him safe he'd probable have gotten lost somewhere on another continent by now." Plague began to ramble. Marinette chuckled and Tikki hovered over to her friend.

"Yeah. Somewhere like Atlantis, kitten?" Tikki said sassily. Marinette never knew they had such a friendship. She also didn't understand the inside joke but thought it had something to do with what Master Fu had once said.

Plague put his hands on his hips and hit at Tikki with his tail. "I am not a kitten." He started grumpily. "I'm a kwami thank you very much." Tikki chuckled and hugged her friend.

"Yeah, whatever you say...kitten."

"Sugar cube!"

"Ugh I told you not to call me that."

Plague chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well."

Both kwamies looked at each other and after a moment they turned stern and looked up at Marinette's face. The girl's smile fell and she couldn't make eye contact with them. Instead she looked in the direction of the bathroom down the hall.

"Now what..." She whispered. The sight of Adrien curled up afraid in her father's arms and bleeding would not leave her head.
