Sephiroth/Zack Gift for ChiBo947
Zack sat by the window of his apartment building, staring out at the pouring rain. It had been on this same day three years ago when his girlfriend Aerith had moved away. He hadn't talked or seen her since. The last time he heard Aerith's name mentioned, it had been said in the newspaper that she had been married to another man. Needless to say, Zack was feeling lonely. Zack heaved a sigh and glanced at the clock. Ten o'clock pm.
Suddenly the doorbell rang, causing Zack to start. He stood up and cautiously opened up the door.
A man with incredibly long silver hair, and an extremely hot body stood before the black-haired man.
"Hello Zack. Wait, you haven't glomped me or showered me with your usual hyperness. What's wrong?"
Zack shrugged, turned, and walked back to his seat by his window. Sephiroth followed him, closing the door behind him. Zack fell down into the window seat, and Sephiroth kneeled on the floor beside him, looking up into Zack's face.
"Zack, what's wrong? You know you can tell me," Sephiroth said, resting his hand on Zack's knee.
Zack looked at Sephiroth, and the silvernette was shocked by the amount of pain he saw in Zack's eyes. Slowly Sephiroth lifted himself up and adjusted him and Zack so that Zack was sitting with his head against Sephy's chest, and he could look out at the rain.
In a small voice Zack whispered, "Today is the anniversary of Aerith's move to Radiant Garden."
At once Sephiroth understood. Aerith had been Zack's girlfriend for four years before her family had torn apart the lovers, causing Aerith to leave, and marry some other guy.
"Zack…listen…" Sephiroth said awkwardly.
Zack shifted to look up at him with pitiful eyes. Sephiroth reached down and ruffled Zack's black hair.
"Zack, I know how much you loved Aerith, but maybe it was for the best. After all, you met me shortly after she left, didn't you?"
Zack sighed. "Yeah, but it's not the same."
Sephiroth sighed and turned Zack around to face him.
"Zack, I want you to know that no matter what happens, I will never leave you like she did. I will always be here for you. No matter what."
"Promise?" Zack asked in a small voice.
Sephiroth gazed into Zack's purple eyes and leaned forward to press his mouth to Zack's. Zack closed his eyes and leaned into Sephiroth. Gently Sephiroth broke away after a few moments and wrapped his arms around Zack.
"I promise."
