Blair took a deep breath as she looked at the Upper East Side through the window of the moving taxi. It had been ten years since she was seventeen, and she shouldn't be nervous to see everyone again. They've changed and she had changed. She went to Yale.

"Are you awake?" Chuck Bass's soft tone along with his warm breath at her ear sent tingles down her back.

"If I wasn't before, I am now." She replied, opening her eyes to smile at him.

She got out of their king size bed, in their town house, to go get coffee. She poured her a cup before going back to their bedroom. Chuck was propped up in bed, typing one of his papers into the laptop he rested on the bed.

"Hey?" He looked at her, as she leaned against the door frame staring at him, in her barely there slip.

"I love you." The words were low, though he still heard them. It was the first time she had told him that when they were sober.

"I love you, too." He smiled, he had said it before and it had scared the hell out of Blair, but now she wasn't scared. She accepted his love.

She had set down her coffee and rejoined him in bed.

That was her last happy day for a few years. Chuck had left while she was in class the next day, only a note saying "B, Need Someone NEW! Later. C" She was heartbroken and as soon as she graduated she went to France.

She remembered that day as she passed the Met. The slight pressure of the hand in her's drug her away from the bad. She turned to look at her husband.

Eric van der Woodsen wasn't fifteen anymore. He was totally gotten more gorgeous.

Blair had been in Paris for three months. She hadn't been near any man since Chuck left her.

"Blair!" The familiar sounding voice startled Blair as she debated which book to by in her favorite small bookstore.

She turned and saw Eric, "Eric?"

He smiled before replying, "Wow, your beautiful."

She smiled at her best friends little brother.

They had talked and arranged to have dinner. Dinner lead back to Eric's hotel room and soon the alter.

"Are you nervous about Chuck?" Eric asked. He knew everything about her. Everything she has done, said or thought. And she knew him.

They weren't in love but they understood one another and it was perfect.

She nodded.

Eric planted a kiss on her lips, before saying "Don't be."
