"Rinoa..." Quistis said with a sigh.
"What are we going to do with her?" Zell asked, looking to Quistis.
"What can we do with her? It's not like we can make her move..." Irvine trailed off, following Zell's gaze to Quistis.
Selphie took the more direct approach. "Rinoa, he's not coming back. You saw what happened with your own eyes."
Rinoa shook her head defiantly and wrapped her arms around her legs. He had to come back. He promised.
"After all this is done, we have to come back here," Rinoa said with a sigh. "It's so pretty."
"I'll be here," Squall had said, smiling at her.
"I'll be waiting for you," she said, reaching up to move his hair from his eyes.
"I'll be waiting. I promise," he breathed as their lips met.
Rinoa started rocking back and forth, playing with the chain around her neck. Zell was there with her, watching from beside the broken pillars. He, Quistis, Selphie, and Irvine has decided that there should be someone there with her at all times. It hurt him to see her like this, pining for someone that couldn't be there for her anymore. "Rinoa," he whispered. "I will never hurt you."
Her head snapped up and she turned to look at where he was standing. The expression in her eyes was blank, emotionless.

She started to open her mouth, and then closed it again. Did I shock her? I really shouldn't have said that... Zell thought.
"Hey, Zell. Go get some sleep, you've been here long enough," Irvine said, walking up from the airship.
"Yeah, sleep..." Zell said.
