Lies.
You hear them all the time. Cheerful conversation with friends, politely speaking with a stranger, laughing with family. They're everywhere.
(They're watching you.)
It's an obsession in a way, you can't stop them from coming out your mouth and sounding like happy truths, because you've never shown why they wouldn't be.
(You can't sleep at night.)
They pour from others as well, until you're becoming suffocated by them and you don't know what there is to believe in anymore.
(Was there ever anything?)
Voices whisper to you at night, breathing into your ear how deceitful you are, and how no one would care for you if they knew the truth.
(They wouldn't.)
No one bothers to ask. No one cares. You don't care either.
(How are you?)
I'm fine, thank you for asking. Perfectly fine. I love life.
(Do you really?)
Of course.
(Liar.)
