A little lift
This one is just too cute and sweet.
"Smokescreen, i said i could do it myself." you spoke in a strained voice.
Standing on your tip-toes, right hand extended as far as it can go. You tried to reach that one beautiful bright red apple that was just out of your grabbing range. Your friend had called you earlier and asked if you would like to come over to their house and help them make some apple-pies for their customers. You agreed and volunteered to help pick the apples even tho they mentioned about your height and all. Taking an apple-basket with you, you began picking apples from multiple apple trees. Which there was a lot of different trees with red apples, green apples, and yellow apples. You where picking bright red apples since your friend needed some. You knew that the ones at the top where rip and ready to be picked. Smokescreen was driven by when he spotted you outside picking apples and saw you where struggling to reach this one particular apple that was a bit out of your reach.
Standing there watching you struggle to reach they asked again.
" Are you sure you don't need my help?" he questioned, door-wings twitching a bit.
You gave a loud sigh. Before looking over at him.
"Yes, I'm sure. Now go help my friend. She probably needs an extra pair of hands to slice the apples." you suggested.
Reaching one last time you gave a defeated huff realizing that you would have to forget about it. Suddenly you gave a loud yelp as you felt yourself being lifted off the ground and set on a familiar shoulder. Looking down you were greeted with a smiling Smokescreen who gave a half-hearted chuckle at seeing your surprise look. Recovering from the unexpected boost, your reached out and plucked the apple off the tree. Lowering you back down they gently set you on the ground. Your face was flushed but you honestly where grateful that they helped you.
"Th-Thank you, Smokescreen. I guess i needed a boost." you said, picking up the full basket of bright red apples.
Smiling they gave you a kiss on the cheek and a wink.
" Anything for you, sweety." they smiled seeing your face turn redder.
