I've been thinking of doing this oneshot for a while now, and now I finally have an inspiration! It's a Yugi and Yami pairing, revealing their feelings towards each other. It'll take place before the Memory World saga, but after the Orichalcos saga. Thank you, and enjoy my very first solid yaoi fic!

Yugi stood at the top of his school, the wind ruffling his hair as he stared at the sunset that lingered for quite sometime now. The Millennium Puzzle gleamed in the light, where the spirit of Pharaoh Atem dwelled for thousands of years before being released from his eternal slumber. Yugi closed his bright indigo eyes, letting the sunlight bath his entire body, the breeze tickling his face. The spirit of Yami appeared beside him, the boy opening his eyes.
"Is something wrong, Pharaoh?" Yugi asked in a soft whisper. Yami had been quiet for the entire day, never leaving his soul room. The former pharaoh looked down at his host, smiling slightly, a look of worry upon his face.
"I'm just thinking of what had happened to you," he remembered. "That you sacrificed your soul just to save me from the darkness within me." Yugi leaned against the fence that he looked through, and sat down on the roof, his friend standing near him.
"You mean when you played the Seal of Orichalcos, driving me away?" Yugi reminded the Pharaoh. Yami sighed, sitting down beside Yugi, letting the wind ruffle their hair.
"I'm sorry, aibou," he muttered, wiping a tear away from his eye. "I didn't know what I was doing back then. Rafael tested me, and you warned me, but I pushed you away, relying on my inner darkness to fuel me. Forgive me, aibou, for what I have done to you. I brought you pain and I brought me sorrow when your soul was stolen from me." Yugi looked up at the pharaoh, noticing tears streaming down his face from the horrifying memory of when he played the Seal, driving his monsters into darkness like he was. The boy placed his hand upon Yami's, comforting him. Yami embraced Yugi, tears streaming down his cheeks as he sobbed silently into the boy's shoulder. Yugi was shocked, seeing his partner cry like this, so sorrowfully. Suddenly, Yami bent over to Yugi, and kissed him on the cheek. Yugi was even more shocked at his friend's behavior.
"Yugi, forgive me for what I have done to you," the Pharaoh sobbed, his face red. "I'm sorry for taking you away from me due to me lust for power." Yugi looked longingly into Yami's eyes, which revealed his sorrow and his pain for taking away his koi.
"Don't worry, Pharaoh," Yugi replied. "I forgive you. After all, we still have to regain your memories of your past." The Pharaoh nodded, the two of them enjoying this moment of peace. The wind tickled their faces as they kissed each other.
"Don't give up, aibou," Yami smiled, wiping the tears away. "We can find out my past together." Yugi nodded, looking out at the sunset, which was transforming into night. He stood up, took the Pharaoh's hand, and they both walked to the Game Shop, laughing and kissing.
