Pyro prepared his deck. It had a new style and was ready for the ultimate test of strength, skill, and endurance. He had been invited to a tournament. But not any tournament. A tournament only for those who have proven themselves time after time. He was going to an Industrial Illusions sponsored tournament. The company that produced the cards had actually let him enter, of all people.
There was even a rumors that Yugi would be there. Everybody's heard of yugi, the owner of the god cards, the cardshark shrimp(author's note: don't ask). But Pyro had a plan to defeat him. He tried many different situations and if he could work fast enough he could win. It was all a matter of strategy and timing. He had reached the tournament's location, it was similar to the duelist kingdom but duel disks were to be used. He was ready. The duel disk snapped into place and he entered the tournament.
Already people were in intense duels. To get to the finals one had to find and defeat the tournament "Champions". They would duel anybody who asked but they were tough, that's why everybody dueled each other. To win cards and test strategies, the perfect way to become fully prepared.
A tall blonde teenager with a stupid smirk and an even worse looking green jacket came up to him. "Hey, would ya like to duel me?" he asked Pyro. To Pyro this seemed like it would be a waste of time. But the face seemed somewhat familiar. "Who are you?" pyro questioned. The teen answered in a very annoyed voice "It's me, the second place duelist kingdom champion. Joey Wheeler". Pyro then remember fully what he saw and heard about him, his answer came extremely fast "no". Pyro attempted to walk by but Joey got in his way. "Please duel me...please?" he insisted. Pyro, beginning to feel forced, accepted. The duel disks launched the hologram projectors and the duel began.
