"Nightwing will not be going on this mission. I will lead you to Slade's hideout. Remember, be carefull." Batman turned to Nightwing" go to your room and put on the extra locks" nightwing nodded and ran off.

"Why isnt Nightwing comeing? And why are you telling him to lock himself in his room?" Garfeild AKA beast boy asked.

"Because-"

"Batgirl.." Batman growled

"Okay okay. Well, i'll just tell you, Slade and Nightwing don't mix."

"Can you tell us later?" Robin asked

"No. Its classified. We will be leaveing in 2 minutes, go get ready." With that he left to go see Nightwing.

- In Nightwings room-

"Can i come in?"

"Mnff!" Batman kicked the door down. Nightwing was on the floor tied up by Slade.

"Get the Hell off my son!" Batman growl-yelled. The rest of the team heard the commotion and came running to see a scene that was frightening. Batman and Slade were fighting but Slade was gaining the upperhand and Nightwing was tied up in the backround. While Slade was distracted by the fight Nightwing had managed to get the gag off.

"Guys! He's going for Batgirl too! You gotta protect her!"

"Shut up Richard!" Slade kicked his head knocking him out. When Slade turned again, he got a hard punch to the face. However, he didnt get knocked out due to the mask. The team took action then. Bumble bee, Robin, Superboy, and Blue beetle took Batgirl to safety(yeah right) while the rest of the team untied Nightwing and took him to the Med-bay or fought Slade with Batman.

In the end, Slade was down but not out.

"I will get Richard and Barbara. Some day. And hopefully Barbara will as much as a asset as Richard was." With that said he threw an explosive and disappeared.

-In med-bay-

For some reason Robin had thought they should hide in the Med-bay. A few minutes later, Nightwing and Batman were taken to the Med-bay. Nightwing was just wakeing up.

"What happened?"

"A fight. Thats what." Someone said. Batman and Nightwing had a few scratches and old scars but were otherwise uninjured. One scar on Nightwing however, concerned the team greatly. There was the slade symboled S on his shoulder.

Gar decided to ask "Hey Wing?"

"Yes Gar?"

"Why do you have Slade's symbol on your shoulder?" M'gann smacked him upside the head. "Ow!"

Nightwing winced. He knew he'd have to tell them someday, he just was hopeing it wouldn't come.

"Nightwing, you know you dont have to" Batgirl said trying to comfort her friend.

"No. They have to know eventually Babs."

"Do you want me to call Jason?" Batman asked barely load enough to hear.

"Yeah. Call Cass, stef, damian, and selina too. I want them to be here."

"Selina? Really? Ya know, Talia and Diana are gonna be mad" Batgirl laughed

"Shut up and call" he was still smileing

"Fine."
