She sighed. Slowly, she was losing Rose to Adrian and Dimitri. Her time to be dominated by training and worrying about guys.

Lissa recalled when she had been Rose's whole world practically. She enjoyed it and always knew she could go to Rose. But now, ever since she started to go out with Christian. She felt the tight bond between her and her best friend was slowly slipping through her fingers.

She was snapped out of her thoughts with Christian gently shaking her shoulder. "What?" her voice came out sharp and annoyed. He seemed slightly hurt by her tone. "Are you okay Liss?" he asked cautiously.

"How can I be okay I'm losing my best friend!" she said, clearly upset. She jumped up and quickly left Christian by himself, running away to some vacant area. Rose froze in mid stride as she was ready to jump at Dimitri during their training.

She gasped and fell. The feelings originating from Lissa knocking her over with the great intensity of them. She felt a heart-breaking pain. She gasped unable to handle it, tears brimming her eyes. "She's upset. Really upset," Rose managed out, her voice rasping slightly.

He immediately knew the problem. "Where is she?" he demanded. She was able to figure out the area where Lissa was now hiding away. She stopped him and told him she had to handle it on her own. He understood and let her go by herself this time.

Rose reached the spot and found Lissa curled up in a ball. In the dark room, it wasn't hard to find her. "Liss," Rose whispered. Her head whipped up and her jade green eyes were a deadly bright color that actually scared Rose a little bit. "Rose," she whimpered, completely vulnerable.

"It's me Liss. What's wrong?" she asked worriedly, coming to sit next to her best friend. She hid her face in my shoulder, sobbing helplessly. "Please don't ever leave me Rose," she whispered childishly. "Never Lissa," she replied instantly, the words practically a habit for her to always say and reassure her best friend.

"You always say that. Like you're used to it, and it's not true," she whined, her head whipping up as she stared at Rose fiercely. "Lissa. You need to calm down, before you do something- something that you'll regret," Rose warned, standing up and backing away slowly. Lissa stood up and she was right in front of Rose quickly.

"No! I'm losing you! Slowly I am, and you're going to leave me all alone!" she exclaimed angrily. "No! Lissa you're not! You always have me," she tried her best to be reassuring and calming. "No I don't! You're attention is devoted to Dimitri and training!" she quickly called Rose out. "So I can protect you!" Rose yelled back.

Lissa stared at her in silence. "Don't leave me. You can't leave me. You know that," she whispered brokenly. "I won't Lissa! What can I do to prove it?" Rose said distressed. Lissa's eyes were wide. She truly looked crazy.

"Nothing. I'm losing you and there is nothing I can do about it," she yelled, tears falling profusely down her face. Rose gulped. "I'm so sorry Liss, just please keep in mind. All of this training I'm doing is for you," Rose whispered, her voice rasping.

Then Rose just left her alone. She couldn't say anything to reassure Lissa and her paranoia. So she just had to let her be and hopefully she wouldn't be so crazy as she was now. Rose would keep an eye on her and make sure she didn't do anything too horrible and life-threatening.
