Disclaimer: Although I love Star Wars, that doesn't mean I don't own Star Wars. Although I'm a fan of money, that doesn't mean I'm making money off this story.

Rated K+ for mention of battle casualties.

"Mine Is the War"

Droids marching stonily off to battle,

Clones engineered to be slain like cattle,

Bravely they fight, but they simply can't see

That the end and the means both belong to me.

Those fools don't know what they're fighting for,

For theirs is the battle, but mine is the war.

Trade lords and senators seek my attention

For endless debating and countless conventions,

While their discussions interminably rage,

While they with words their own war wage.

But all of their meetings are merely a bore:

For theirs is the battle, but mine is the war.

The Jedi seek war to help "keep the peace,"

In the hope that the fighting will one day cease.

Noble and just though their causes may be,

Though they fight for freedom, they'll never be free.

They've got no idea what I have in store,

For theirs is the battle, but mine is the war.

On every world, in every place,

The war will engulf the whole galaxy's space.

Into a new reign this realm I will take,

Into a new breed the galaxy make.

The Sith's ancient reign will begin once more,

For theirs is the battle. . . but mine is the war.
