Author's Note: This is Part 3 of the series of one-shots for Valentine's Day. My friends requested me to write these for a few of their favourite characters, and so...here goes!

Valentine's Day One-Shot entry 3: Dante (Devil May Cry: the Anime)

ICE-CREAM

"Hey, Dante!" Cindy, the waitress at the Hotel Fredi hollered at the sight of the usual customer.

"Get me the usuals." Dante looked as expressionless as ever. Cindy winked. "Coming right up!" The girl skated off for his strawberry sundae, leaving him quite alone at his table.

The door of the diner opened and closed behind him, but, as it is of Dante, he paid no notice. The new entry took a seat near the counter and said out clearly: "Strawberry Sundae, please." Dante heard the female voice call out to the barman. He didn't look up from his sword-hilt, not really caring about this woman, who liked the same thing he did at this store. Anyways, he had a lot on his mind at the moment...as much as to take away the thought of women from his head for a while.

The door opened and closed yet again as Patty rushed in and plopped into the seat opposite to him.

"Dante, I need you to pay for this dress that I bought-" Patty began, only to be cut-off by the silver-haired man.

You spoiled brat! What did I tell you about not having any more money?" Dante was losing it yet again. Morrison didn't show up with a job yet, and, even though it is quite out of his character, but he was getting bored of having pizza and sleeping all day. All he had was small fries to kill over the past week.

"Your strawberry Sundae is-" Cindy was taken aback by Patty, who took the ice-cream bowl away from the tray and started gobbling the whole thing like a ravenous carnivore.

"Hey, hey! That's mine!" Dante reached for it, but Patty slapped his hand away.

"That's for calling me a brat!" Said Patty.

"Hey!" Dante turned to Cindy, "get me another one of those."

"Oh, I m so sorry! We're out of Strawberry Sundae and its ingredients..." Cindy replied, looking hesitant. "This was the very last one, and the other was taken up by the woman at the counter."

You felt the creamy goodness of the strawberry and whipped cream on your tongue, while enjoying the lively conversation between the waitress, the little blonde girl and the red-clad man. You noticed the man get up from the corner of your eye, and walk over to the counter.

He sat down beside you and hollered at the barman. You looked over at him.

"You seem to have quite the passion for Strawberry Sundaes." The man gave you a twisted look. You licked your spoon sensually. "You can share mine if you want..."

"No thanks." Dante looked away, as if weighing his options, whether he wanted this so much to have to share with a woman.

But, hot as you were, it wouldn't really hurt to share, would it?
