Padmé Amidala did not keep many things from her husband, Anakin Skywalker. But, there was five things that she swore she would never tell him. And she didn't. They would either make him angry or sad, and she didn't want to put him through that. He really was the jealous type. Besides, they weren't all that important.
One:
She had a crush on Obi-Wan Kenobi when she was younger. Who wouldn't have one on a charming, brave, and strong young man when they were her age? Of course, she never told anybody because she was a queen, not a silly little teenager who dreams of marrying Jedi. Obviously, nothing ever came of that. But ten years later, when Obi-Wan and Anakin were assigned to protect her, she was nervous to meet him again. She was planning on asking if he felt the same way towards her, but then she was swept of her feet by Anakin.
Two: She kept in touch with Palo, her first boyfriend and kiss. Before she had married Anakin, she often went to dinners and social events with him. They were simply friends, but if she told Anakin about this, he would be jealous. Besides, it distracted her family. They all thought she would become an item with him, and they would never suspect she was really married to a young Jedi knight, Anakin Skywalker. He was also good company.
Three:
A few weeks after they got married, she had accepted a marriage proposal from Palo. She didn't want him to suspect she was married, so when he came to her office and asked her to, she accepted. She told some of her family, her mother, father, and sister, but that was all. About five days after she told Palo that they weren't meant for each other, and that he probably was upset because he had broken up with his girlfriend a few months earlier. They both agreed it was best to call it off.
Four:
She had almost been raped once. It was her and Anakin's one year anniversary, and because she was such a horrible cook, she went to go get takeout from Dexter's Diner. It was late and she was walking to her speeder when two men approached her. She was a beautiful woman, and one of the men commented on that. As she walked away, they followed her and asked her where she was going. When she told them "home", they told her she should come home with them. And when she replied "no", they both grabbed her. As they were about to rip her clothes, a man who had been walking to his speeder punched them. The two men scurried away while her savior walked her to the speeder. She had never told anyone except her mother.
Five:
If her and Anakin had never been almost killed, she never would have admitted her feelings to him, let alone act on them. She would've been married to her career all her life, or possibly Palo. Who knew. All she knew was that she only did that because they were about to die. Anakin needed to know how she felt before that happened. She supposed it was a good thing that she convinced him to help Obi-Wan and that they had been captured, or else she would have never married him. But then again, if that never happened she wouldn't of died so young
