Just a short Clinton Barton one shot. Thank you to my beta for making this even better. Read and review please
Clint waltzed into the small apartment belonging to his girlfriend and leaned casually against the kitchen door frame, watching as she prepared dinner oblivious to his presence. She had the radio blasting on the counter, singing and dancing to the poppy beat, so her strapless summer dress swayed around her knees.
After the Battle in New York against Asgardian Loki, he learned to appreciate the smaller things in life, especially his love for the woman standing only a few feet away from him. Before the Battle their relationship was just a release of sexual tension. Clint never expressed his feelings, he'd learned the hard way what damage emotions could do and kept them firmly guarded inside. But during the Battle, all he could think about was her and that if he made it out in one piece he'd spend the rest of his life making sure she knew what she meant to him.
He'd turned up on her doorstep after the portal was closed, still dressed in his SHIELD uniform, caked in dirt, blood and sweat. But she didn't care; she threw herself at him and kissed every inch of his face delighted to see him alive after watching the reports on television. All he said was 'I love you' and they're been inseparable ever since.
She happily chopped up the vegetables, swaying her hips and he couldn't control himself any longer. He walked over and snaked his muscular arms round her waist, pressing his lips into her bare shoulder. She shivered beneath his touch, and he took great satisfaction in how his touch could affect her.
"Agent Barton, I wasn't expecting you home this early," she smiled relaxing back against his chest.
"Well Miss. Anders, I just had to see you." He kissed her shoulder and she titled her head slightly motioning for more attention. He obliged shifting his light kisses towards her neck, caressing the delicate skin until a dreamy sigh parted her lips.
"I was cooking you dinner…your favourite," she regained her composure and abandoned her chopping to turn around in his arms. "As a surprise,"
"I can go back out and come back later," he offered sliding his hands south of her waist to rest on her backside.
He lightly brushed his lips against hers, feeling her lean into his touch again.
"No," her lips fluttered against his as she peeked up at him through her dark, long lashes. "Now that you're here, I don't wanna see you go."
"What if I go to the bedroom?" He raised an eyebrow slowly pulling away from her as her lush lips curved into a playful smile.
"I'll race you there." She gracefully ducked passed him, laughing as he chased after her.
