Till we meet again.

Disclaimer: I own nothing except Amy and the poem.

A/N. This is my first story on ff.net so any feedback good, bad, whatever would be greatly appreciated.

I thought we were destiny Meant to be Together for eternity

But then god took you For himself

Causing everyone so much pain When you're a needed wife and mother When we still had love to give Had dreams left to accomplish.

I'll love and miss you You'll live on in my heart So you'll never be forgotten

As I bend down Press my lips Against your lifeless ones One last time As I say goodbye until our final resting place in the sun

With those last words Nick stoked her cheek taking one last look at his wife. Who he had only seen an hour before alive and well. She had been involved in a car accident. The doctors tried in vain to save her but there was nothing more they could do to the internal bleeding.

She had only been going to the store to pick up some pictures. Now she was being kept alive by the ventilator and life support machine. She didn't look dead. Still warm to the touch.

Nick looked at the permission form on his lap to switch off the machines he quickly signed his name knowing he wouldn't be able to do so later.

Silently leaving the room letting the tears run down. He was greeted by his and Sara's eight-year-old daughter who also was crying.

"Dad why did Mum have to leave us?" Amy asked through sniffs and snorts.

"Amy she never wanted to leave us, but she's still watching from above. And we'll always be in her heart." Nick replied to Amy who looked like a young Sara.

"I know Dad."

"You know we'll get through this. I'm not going to lie it's going to be hard but we have each other." Nick said hugging his daughter.

With that Nick and Amy walked out of the hospital hand in hand, knowing that their lives would be changed forever. And also knowing they would have good days and bad but they would be ok in the end.

"Till we meet again in the sun." Nick softly whispered looking up at the bright, clear Nevada sky.
