Just Between Us

AN: This fic is dedicated to my big sis, Jen. She hasn't been feeling the greatest the past few days and I thought I'd cheer her up with some Jason/Lana as she loves the pairing. I hope you enjoy this, honey :)

Jason showed up at the Talon one night to surprise Lana. He gave her a single red rose, kissing her softly on the mouth.

"Hey, you," she said with a smile, taking the rose and putting it in some water.

"Hi, Lana. You look beautiful, honey."

"So, this is a surprise. What brings you by so late?"

"Well, I figured we'd go out dancing tonight. Then I realized it was pretty late. And well, it'd be more romantic if it was just the two of us, don't you think?"

She felt herself lost in his eyes, nodding numbly as he gently held her arm. He grinned, heading behind the counter and pulling out a CD player. Taking a CD from his coat pocket he put it in the player, cueing up the music. Bryan Adams' Heaven played softly as Jason rounded the counter, pulling Lana close.

They swayed gently back and forth, Lana's face buried in Jason's neck inhaling the familiar scents of her boyfriend. She felt so safe and loved being with him. And she knew then that she wanted to show him just how much he really meant to her.

"I love you, Lana," Jason murmured into her ear. Smiling into his neck, she gently pulled back.

"I love you too, Jason. And I want to prove it to you," she said, taking a hold of his hand in her own, leading him upstairs into her apartment.

"Lana, you don't have to prove any…" he trailed off as she put a finger against his lips. "I know I don't. But I want to."

Without another word they began kissing, slowly helping each other remove each other's clothing. Jason wanted this so bad he could feel his pulse quickening. But he wasn't about to let himself get out of control because he wanted to make this special for her. Show Lana just how much this meant to him. How much he loved her.

Once they made it onto the bed, with him carefully hovering over her, she pulled him closer, a hand gradually making its way down his back. He drew in a shaky breath, almost feeling done in by her touch. Taking one of her hands in his own they headed toward something neither of them could sufficiently put into words.

Afterwards Lana lay in Jason's arms feeling even closer to him than she had a few hours ago.

"You okay?" Jason asked her.

"Yeah. Just thinking about how much I love you."

Jason smiled, kissing her on the head. "Yeah, well, I love you too, Ms. Lana Lang." Lana returned the smile, making herself comfortable once again on his chest, soon falling asleep in the arms of the man she loved. Jason ran a hand gently up and down Lana's arm as she slept. The night had been wonderful. And he hoped the next time he surprised Lana she'd be willing to surprise him as well.
