"Heiji! You never told me where we're going!" Kazuha yelled against the wind, holding on to Heiji's waist.

"I didn't?" Heiji asked, steering his bike, paying little mind to his passenger.

Kazuha knew he was aware that he didn't tell her.

"Put some shoes on!" Heiji greeted her as she opened the door. "Hurry, it's important!"

She sighed, thinking she had figured what it might be about.

"Another case…"she mumbled, tightening her hold on Heiji as he turned. Noticing he still had his mind on other things, Kazuha pulled in closer, resting her head on his back.

"Well," she said, closing her eyes as the bike slowed to a stop, "I don't really mind. As long as I'm with you, Heiji…" Kazuha blushed at her own thoughts.

"'As long as I'm with you,' what?" Heiji asked, a dash of red peeking through his naturally dark skin.

Nervously, Kazuha shook her head and pushed away. "Nothing…I know nothing important will happen."

Rolling his eyes, Heiji took a left.

"Well, actually," he said, clearing his throat, "I wanted to show you a restaurant Kudo told me about."

"Is that so?" Kazuha scoffed. "I swear, if it's not on unimportant thing with you, it's another, isn't it? Honestly, Heiji! All the way to Tokyo just to eat! Aren't you always proclaiming to Ran-chan that Osaka has the best food? Geez, Heiji. And another thing…"

Heiji, for a change, allowed Kazuha to continue her rambling.

Actually…Heiji thought while thinking of the words Shinichi had told him over the phone the day before.

"After going through what I've been…you really know what and who is important. You know what I mean, Hattori?"

Heiji laughed at Kazuha's stupidity.

Actually, Kazuha…I don't necessarily need to go through that to understand who is important, Kudo.

At that point, Heiji parked at the Beika Center Building, ready to go to its Observation Restaurant.
