MY LIFE IS WEIRD!

Ch.1 History sums it up
My name is Kagome. I'm going to be perfectly blunt, my life is weird!!! Um... now that we have that out in the open, I'll explain. It actually started with something that happened before I was born.
It was the time of the vampire's annual visit. They stole the village women and teenagers because 1.) They were beautiful (Duh!) 2.) Vampires could only have sons. Anyway, I guess my town's people got tired of the women getting stolen, so they locked all the girls in the church. They purified all entrances, even the fireplace!
When the vampires got there, the mayor went to talk with the leader of the vampires. They decided if the desired female (a lot happened to be young girls because most of women were taken up as soon as they were old enough to be married and the vampires needed virgins, don't ask me why!) was willing to go with a vampire, he could take her, and after joining with a female they could not chose another. This was fine except for the fact that while vampires live for a very, very, very, very, very long time (though not forever), humans,... don't.
But there was a way to live that long if the girl chose to do so. All she would have to do is let her husband bite her in a way that would signify she was his for eternity (well, not eternity!). Then she would live as long as him. But it took to long for the girl to decide after they went with them, so the mayor told the families to tell their daughters to choose if they wanted a vampire husband or not. They were to decide at the age of 11.
Well I'm 13, and I haven't chosen! Worse, the annual Coming of the Vamps (courting vampires) is tomorrow! But unlike the past, the vampires stay for a week, not a day. I'm not going, that's it! I'll pretend I'm sick, like last year. He, he, he...
(flashback)
