I woke up and decided to write another for the hell of it. Thanks to Maureen
Olivia Lockhart for giving my sister a fright. I kinda, huh, ran out of hotdogs. But it would be great if you still reviewed! My parents say if only I could put this my dedication in school…..
Reminders
The bell jingled and Sweeney Todd put on a fake smile, greeting the man that had come in for a shave. He was a handsome man, greeting the barber kindly and sitting in the chair.
'Another pie for Mrs. Lovett,' Todd thought, sharpening his razor. He lathered cream on the gentleman's face, assuring him that this would be a very close shave. He picked up his razor and examined it, watching the sun glinting off the bright silver.
This was not the judge, but he would do.
For now.
He positioned the razor, ready to slit the man's throat, to watch the rubies spill.
"Love is a complicated and beautiful thing, right Mr. Todd?"
Sweeney hesitated.
"What?" He whispered?
"Love is a complicated and beautiful thing, right?"
"Yes." Sweeney whispered again.
"Me and my fiancée are about to get married. She's five months pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I'm not marrying her because she's pregnant, but I love her Mr. Todd. Her name is Lucy." The man babbled on about his life.
Sweeney numbly shaved the man's face, the rest of the world was gone.
"What color is her hair?"
"Excuse me?" The man looked confused.
"What color is her hair?"
"It's yellow, sir. She's the prettiest girl in London, and she's gonna be mine!" He said proudly.
"You're done, you can go. Good luck."
"Thank you, sir! Thank you very much Mr. Todd!" He ran out, leaving Sweeney alone in the barber-shop.
Slow footsteps took him to the barber's chair, and he slumped down in it.
Lucy.
Oh Lucy.
Beautiful yellow hair.
Prettiest girl in London.
He glanced down at his razor.
"These are my friends, see how they glisten…"
At least he still had them.
I have to admit that I think this was extremely lacking. I'm not usually modest about myself. In fact, I have a huge ego. Reviews help me feed that ego. Feed me! Thank you for all the wonderful reviews for my other stories!
