~Sigh~

A Rin and Len fanfiction

Sigh, 'Why won't it stop!' I ended up sighing again and gave into it. 'Might as well go home…' Again, I sighed slightly. 'It's been like this for so long… Why can't I just be… ya' know… HAPPY.' I walked in the cold Autumn afternoon, hoping to get home before it got colder. More small sighs escaped from my lips, I looked to my right, noticing the small park with no kids playing in it. 'Might as well.'

I sat down on the slightly cold swing, moving just a tad. As I slowly closed my eyes, I breathed out, wondering once again, how the sighs became a daily thing. "Why won't they stop..." I whispered to myself. 'I am alone after all, maybe I am just alone… Yeah… alone' I became sad again, 'why can't I remember why I'm sad, I'm so alone.'

"Who said you where?" 'What?' I turned around to see a young boy standing there.

"Are you lost?" I said soft enough for him to hear me. He was a small blonde boy who looked like he was 7 or 8, not old enough to be out in this neighborhood at 7 at night. His big innocent blue eyes looked at me as he smiled. 'So cute.' "Where are your parents?"

"I am not lost, I promise you. But I am here to see you." He smiled brightly at me. 'Why does he look so… Familiar?' Slowly he held out both of his small skinny hands and offered them to me.

"Give me your sighs, because I will replace them with Happiness."

"Please." The small word slowly slipped out of my mouth as he looked happily at me. My eyes widened at the sight changing before my eyes. We where no longer in the small abandon park, but instead it was replaced with a field of beautiful yellow roses. "What is-this?" Slowly I realized that those flowers on the ground were also in a bouquet in my hands. "Huh?!" I looked up at the boy, who was still smiling happily. In his hands was a bear and a heart shaped red balloon, he handed them to me as I gasped slightly. "For… Me?" He nodded his head smiled again. I smiled, and giggled slightly. For the first time in a long time, I actually smiled, and was laughing. He again moved his hand out to me, as a small blue bird appeared in front of my eyes. I gasped and smiled even wider. We sat there and laughed and laughed, Having more fun than I ever had before.

Every time I smiled slightly though, Him and one memory came back.

~Flash back~

"Len?! Len! Wake up? Please?! I never got a chance to say goodbye! C'mon Len Please!" I blew on his hand again, 'he's getting colder!' I breathed harder on his hand holding it close. I couldn't stop crying! His big blue eyes where covered by the sheet over his head. His bear and heart shaped balloons I got him were right beside his small body. 'Only 8, he was only 8!' *Breath* "Wont you be lonely up there my dear brother? Don't leave me here, all alone!" *Breath*

~End Flash back~

I collapsed my sobs heavy and sad. "You remembered, huh?" Len came from behind me and hugged me softly. "They where yours weren't they? Those sighs." I cried even harder, letting my brother hold me close. "You where trying to warm me up with your gentle, gentle, winds." Hearing his voice calmed me a bit but kept me crying softly. "I'm sorry I'm late." He gently let go of me, and I turned around and watched him start to leave." I could finally come and return the favor. No more sighing now. Come on, now raise your head!" he said as he disappeared into nothingness. Slowly everything started returning to normal the abandoned playground, the old houses, the cold autumn breeze. But the thing that did not disappear was those memories and the smell of fresh roses.

I slightly came to my senses and realized I was back where I was. I wiped away my tears and smiled. And it was all in thanks to my guardian angel, Len Kagamine… My brother.
