Author's notes
HELLO! I know there are so many fanfictions that take place at this point in season 2. I've personally read a lot of these stories and I finally decided to write my own. This takes place after The Girl In the Fireplace. I named it "Why" because Rose wonders why the Doctor left her for Reinette. Just wrote this in 10 minutes so if there are mistakes place tell me and I will try to correct them. I've always hated this episode because I am a major TEN/ROSE shipper XD.

Why?
Doctors POV
I sat down rereading the sad words that Reinette wrote before she died. "She was so young". I really thought that I loved Reinette, but every time I was with her Rose just kept popping up in my head. I bet Rose is upset, I abandoned her for 5 hours because of being with Reinette. Speaking of Rose maybe I should go talk to her. I stood up and walked to Rose's bedroom. As I walked down the Tardis hallway many thoughts came into my mind. The most frightening thought was what if Rose leaves me? When I finally got to the door I heard sobs coming from inside.
Nobody's POV
The Doctor stood against the door for a second until the sobs started to die down. He hated to hear Rose,the woman he loved, so sad all because of his actions. Finally he decided to knock on the door. "Knock, knock, knock", the Doctor said quietly careful not to wake Mickey the idiot. "Go away", Rose answered angrily while locking the door. She couldn't believe the things the Doctor did. She really thought that they loved each other but "I guess not ", Rose thought. "Rose please can we talk", the Doctor said. For a minute Rose contemplated not letting the Doctor in,but she finally opened the door wiping away her tears.
The Doctor looked at her with his deep brown eyes and Rose thought she was going to melt. Rose shook herself out of it remembering that she was mad at him. "Rose are you alright?" the Doctor said as he sat down next to her. "No" she answered "You left Mickey and I alone where we could have died and for Reinette!" Rose cooled down for a second. She then looked into his eyes and asked "Did you fall in love with her?" The Doctor wiped a tear from Rose's face and said " I thought I did but Rose when I saw you I remembered who I really love." Rose sat there and analyzed his words when she realized what he was saying. " You love me?" she asked. "Yes Rose and I will always love you" the Doctor replied. Rose smiled and looked at his face. "I love you too" Rose said and laughed at the relieved look on his face. Rose then pulled in and kissed the Doctor passionately. Finally the Doctor pulled away gasping for air, but it didn't last for long. For the rest of the night their lips were together and they both couldn't be more happy.
