'Sirius is dead, Sirius is dead because I didn't listen to Hermione, Sirius is dead because of me, Hermione could be dead because I didn't fucking listen' these were the thoughts rolling through Lillith Potter's mind as she sprinted after Bellatrix LeStrange. While the insane witch had a head start Lillith had youth, physical training and most importantly unbridled rage fueled by her own failure as a daughter and a friend, she would not slow down until she caught her godfather's killer.
Peeling around a corner Lilly felt the war robes Sirius had gifted her for Christmas flutter about her, made from the basilisk she herself had killed while saving her friend Ginny second year, the glossy black leather a constant reminder of another near failure. She'd nearly failed so many times, she'd almost let that troll kill Hermione, she'd nearly let Querrill make off with the Philosopher's stone, she'd nearly gotten all her friends killed on a fools errand. This was only first year mind you.
Gritting her teeth and pumping her legs harder she could here the barmy witch cackling ahead of her, 'I killed Sirius, my godfather, my DAD is dead because I didn't fucking listen, I let my Gryffindor hotheadedness lead my friends into danger. And for what? A bloody prophecy, something I don't even fucking believe in,' gritting her teeth she turned another corner and saw the main lobby ahead, the main lobby and Bellatrix.
"CRUCIO!" She felt the familiar warmth the dark curse created deep in her core as Bellatrix fell over screaming in agony, smirking coldly Lilly walked up to her godfather's killer giving her a swift kick in the gut for good measure. Bellatrix laughed madly as she cackled out,
"Never used an unforgivable before, have you girl? Self righteous anger won't make it last, you have to feel it, you have to enjoy it to make it work." Bellatrix's smile fell as Lilly's eyes began glowing and the toothy grin spread across her face,
"Oh I'm aware, I just needed you to hold still for this CRUCIO! And for the first time in her life Bellatrix Lestrange felt true unbridled agony as Lillith Potter poured every moment of her abused childhood, her lonely teenage years, and her unending hatred for all the useless adults in her life into the curse. Taking up Bellatrix's torch Lilly began cackling madly as her victim thrashed on the ground, she was so focused that she didn't notice the green flashes of the floos until a deep voice spoke behind her.
"Bellatrix, you've failed me," cutting the curse Lilly turned around to face Lord Voldemort, grinning widely she was still riding the high of the dark curse as she crooned out,
"Well hello Tom, I've been keeping your favorite playtoy company until you showed, you still look like shit by the way," pulling his wand out Voldemort sneered as there was another flash of green light as Albus Dumbledore appeared behind him,
"That's enough Tom, you're done here tonight," Voldemort spun to face off against his former Headmaster, a reply was on his serpentine lips but he paused as a casual "Avada Kadavra," echoed through the hall, both men spun to see a fleeing Bellatrix fall to the ground dead, turning to face the Dark Lord and her Master Manipulator Lillith Potter grinned widely as she prowled towards the twin banes of her existence.
"Hello boys, I'm done running..."
