The soft soil sunk gently under his lightly trotting feet. His long, golden locks brushed over his face and blew over his crystal blue eyes. A warm breeze wove in and out of the heavily forested area.
"What a beautiful day." Legolas sighed to himself.
He approached Elrond's Council, where he was due ten minutes before.
"Mr. Greenleaf! Late again, are we?" spoke Elrond with a stern look. "This is your fourth time being late at a council. And you've only been to five! You're going to have to clean up your act, young elf."
"Sorry, Elrond, sir." replied Legolas with contrite. "It won't happen again. I'll make note of that."
"I'm sure you will..." answered Elrond. "Well, now that everyone is here, I have an important topic to discuss with all of you gathered here..."
Elrond droned on about current elf affairs and happenings in Rivendell, but Legolas had something more important to do. He went off into a dream like state as he gazed at a new elf he'd never seen at council before. Completely disregarding Elrond, he examined her features. Long, wavy black hair that flowed like waves rippling over the ocean. She had piercing, steel grey eyes like none he had ever seen before. She was a most unusual looking elf, but that made her all the more beautiful. Legolas sighed.
"So, Greenleaf, how do you feel about all of this?" asked Elrond.
"Oh, well, I think it's a good idea!" he replied unsure of himself, hoping he had said the right thing.
"You think it's a good idea that we're going to be attacked?" questioned Elrond, "You weren't listening, were you? I've had enough of this, just go to your chamber, Legolas."
"Yes, sir" he replied, and got up without any further comments.

"I must find out her name!" Legolas thought to himself, as he lay on his bed with his silken, ebony coloured sheets streaming over his body. Just then, he heard a knock.
"Come in!"
"Hello, Legolas, master, sir, prince," said his anxious servant. It was his first day on the job. "Anything can I help you w-with, Legolas?"
"Yes, actually, Tiberon," he replied, "Find out the name of the elven girl that sat at council today. She had long the most beautiful, long, black hair and was tall and slender. You really couldn't have missed her."
"Oh, I know her name already, m'lord." he said excitedly, realising he was pleasing his master. "She goes by the name of Lavinnia."
"Thank you, helpful servant! You may go now!" replied a grinning Legolas.
"Lavinnia..." he thought to himself as he lay back down on his bed and drifted into a pleasant dream.

Legolas woke up the next morning feeling cleansed and refreshed. He got up and opened his curtains to view a clear, crystal blue sky overtop the many trees. Tiberon appeared in his doorway.
"Breakfast is ready in thirty minutes, master, sir, prince, Legolas." said Tiberon.
"Just call me Legolas," he replied with a smile.
"Yes, sir! Er, yes, Legolas!" replied Tiberon, returning the friendly grin.
Legolas went to the washroom to bathe himself and get ready for the first meal of the day. He removed his sleeping gown and hopped in his bathtub into the clear, warm water. He peered out his window that overlooked the garden and small waterfall. He enjoyed this part of his day being he had a chance to relax and reflect on everything. He sighed with pleasure. Awhile later he got out of the tub and proceeded to get dressed and do his hair.

Legolas enjoyed breakfast. It was a feast with so many different foods he loved. He was busy filling his plate when he noticed a movement from the corner of his eye. Something black.
"Lavinnia!" he thought! Legolas dropped his fork in awe. She peered over at him as she entered the room. Her long, silky hair graced her face. Legolas quickly looked down and blushed, beginning to eat, trying to make it look like he wasn't staring at her. She took a seat at the opposite end of the table facing him.
