AN: Hi and welcome to the first chapter of my adaptation of Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger. I hope you enjoy the first episode and if it ends weird it's because it's part 1 of the two part pilot. Anyway enjoy.
Update:Hello folks this is just a quick update to say that these early episodes will be getting an update as I now have a betareader to help me make the grammar and flow better. So stay tuned these early episodes will soon be just as good as the newer episodes.
Power Rangers
Chasers v Phantoms
Episode 1: Phantoms Birth
Long ago during the late 19th century mysterious items known as the collection fell into our world from another dimension. The collections items were capable of giving humans with strong enough hearts abilities to either cause great good or great evil.
Eventually legend grew that if all of the collection was gathered the ones who gathered it would be given a wish as great as their desires. Eventually in the beginning of the 20th century an organization was formed to collect and protect the world from the collection.
Today this organization is called the Global Protection Organization. The GPO consisted of some of the greatest minds of the century. Eventually one family the Rowe's learned to modify the collection items further for human use and have now become a big part of the organization.
To search for the collection an elite group was formed called the Chasers given the job to find the collection and make sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. The GPO had been doing well until one cold day in November 1998 where all of the sudden the ones who originally owned the collection appeared.
The Ganglers led by the mysterious Don Lupin arrived to retrieve the collection. Forced to take action the Chasers used modified collection pieces to become Power Rangers Chasers and now 20 years later the war still goes on but soon 3 new modified collection pieces will arrive with 3 new chasers hopefully turning the tide of the war.

Night in Aster City was calm, the Gangler weren't usually active. Aster City was the home of the GPO's main base so they knew better than to do anything stupid around it. Sometimes though things wouldn't stay quiet for long.
A couple were walking along with their two children when all of the sudden a portal opened and out came a group of Ganger. They had skulls on their faces and wielded blades, the family was scared for their lives as the monsters were about to attack them when all of the sudden a shot came and hit one of the monsters.
A commanding voice yelled to them "Stop right there Skullmen." A police car arrived with 3 figures standing in front of it, because of the darkness it was hard to see their facial features but you could tell they were wearing red, green and pink uniforms. One of the kids became excited "It's the chasers."
The pink one called to the family "Get out of here now." The family nodded and began to run away though the kids really wanted to see the heroes of Aster City fight. The three walked forward with the skullmen ready to attack. The red one nodded to the other two "Let's go"
The three brought out car looking devices and placed them on the guns they were holding the guns announced "Chaser1, Chaser2, Chaser3." The three turned the gun barrels upside down and aimed them up in the air announcing "Chase Up" As they fired the guns announced once again "Chaser Change"
The three were transformed into The Power Rangers Chasers. Chaser1 took a step forward "You best get out of this city because we're here to defend it." With this they ran forward ready to deal with whatever crime for the night.

The next morning a police car pulled up in front of an apartment building. The man who was Chaser1 got out revealing his facial features. He was a man who about 26 of Asian descent with long shaggy black hair wearing a smile as he walked.
He walked into the building whistling as he went he was in a good mood. He went to the 6th floor of the building and arrived at the door and began to knock on it. He waited and when he got no answer he knocked and yelled "C'mon Keith today's the big day so get your ass up."
Meanwhile inside the apartment two people were sleeping in the bedroom cuddling and clearly trying to ignore the noise. The man tried to block out the noise "Ugh who is here this early in the morning." The female sat up holding the covers over her "It's probably Travis today is the day of the transport after all."
The man sat up "Oh right I suppose I should probably let him in then." The man got up to go let Travis in. On the other side of the door the man now identified as Travis was about to kick in the door before it opened revealing the man who had been sleeping.
He was about 3 inches shorter than Travis but also of Asian descent with a short buzz cut style black hair. Travis smiled at him "Finally Keith I was worried my little brother was gonna miss the fun today." Keith smiled as he let his brother inside "Sorry but unlike you I enjoy sleeping a bit." Travis laughed "I just think you're lazy."
Keith got an annoyed look on his face but before he could say anything a voice interrupted him "Well you know not everyone can get up as early as the great Travis Rowe." The woman appeared she had used the word great in a playful sense.
Travis turned to her "Ah Abby how is my future sister in law doing." Abby laughed "How many times do you plan to ask me that." Travis laughed "Until my brother stops being stupid and asks you to marry him." Both Keith and Abby blushed, the two had been together since freshman year of highschool and his brother teased them a lot.
Abigail "Abby" Bailey was a girl the same age as Keith(23) who was about two inches shorter than him with long brown hair that flowed down to her shoulders. She had a soft face with deep blue eyes. She was considered very beautiful and according to Travis way out of Keith's league.
Travis smiled at the two "So are you ready to become Chasers." Keith just nodded still a bit tired while Abby went to make coffee "I think both of us will be ready after we've had our coffee." The three laughed as they fell into idle conversation, enjoying each others company before they had to go to the GPO building.

The three finally arrived to GPO headquarters and as they walked to the commander's office people had come by to congratulate the two. Not everyone got to become a Chaser and the fact that there would soon be three additional Chasers. As they were nearing the hallway they accidentally bumped into someone carrying papers.
The person fell onto the floor and the papers went everywhere. Keith quickly bent down to help the person pick them up "Here let me help you with these." The person who was quickly trying to pick them looked at Keith and then to Travis.
He looked at both of them before getting an excited smile on his face "You two! You two are the Rowe Brothers Travis and Keith." Keith handed him the papers and looked at him "How do you know who we are." The man looked at him "How could I not, you two are members of the Rowe family and not to mention you're legends at the academy."
Travis knowing Keith doesn't exactly react well to the family legacy stepped forward "Well It's nice to meet you uh." The man jumped "Oh I'm sorry where are my manners I'm Thomas Walsh I'll be working in the commander's office." Travis smiled and shook his hand "Well I look forward to working with you."
The three left Thomas leaving the blonde haired blue eyes youth to geek out. As the three arrived to the commander's office Travis saluted "Good Morning Commander." The man nodded to Travis. Unlike Travis, Keith just waved "Morning Dad." Henry Rowe sighed "Keith you're going to have to address me as Commander now that you'll be in here."
Keith smiled "You got it Commander Dad." Abby simply stepped into the middle of this saluting as well "Good morning Commander." Henry quickly became less serious "Abby what have I told you, you can call me Henry or Dad your choice no need to be so formal."
Keith frowned annoyed and got his father's attention back "Anyway what's going on today Commander." Henry turned back around "Ah yes right, Jim can you bring up the screen." A robot with wheels for feet came in pulling up some screens "Right away Commander, good morning Travis and Keith."
The two nodded to Jim, he was the first thing they had ever built when they were kids so he was like a member of the family. The screens were pulled up revealing three Collection pieces that were modeled after planes and not cars like the other 3. Henry looked up to them "Today we have three new collection items to use, Travis your team will be transporting them here."
Travis nodded, Keith stepped up "Commander what will the two of us be doing." Henry looked at him "You two will be on standby ready to help them if so needed." Keith nodded before Henry began to speak again "Right, now unfortunately you won't be able to bring your Chase Morphers with you as this is supposed to be covert."
Travis looked to him "Sir are you sure that would be smart what if something goes wrong?" Henry shook his head "The Ganglers can detect the collection, we don't want to risk having you out there with an additional 3 it could give you more of a target." Travis nodded and Henry began again "Well if everyone is ready we can move out and get started." The three saluted as they went to prepare.

Later Keith and Abby were in the police car waiting for the Chasers to pass through the area. Keith was tense and Abby could tell, she put her hand on his "Keith are you ok?" Keith shook his head "No I'm not I have a bad feeling right now."
Abby nodded "Everything will be fine don't worry." Keith nodded, they sat in the car for another 5 minutes before they heard an explosion. Keith quickly got the radio out "What the hell was that." Quickly he put out a call to the chasers "Travis can you hear me what is going on."
There was static on the radio and all they could hear was "Being attack…. Don't help" Keith swore under his breath turning the car on ignoring his brothers orders"Dammit we need to help them."
Quickly driving to the scene all they found was fire and debris in the road as the car carrying the collection items were destroyed. Abby was looking around when she saw it, she pointed to some bodies "Keith look." Keith looked over Travis's team had been shot and killed.
Keith began to search frantically "Dammit where's my brother where's Travis." Abby put her hand on his shoulder "Keith he's gone." Keith was angry "No he's not gone he can't be he can't leave us." Abby could only stay silent as they waited for backup to arrive. Before anyone else though Keith noticed three figures on the rooftops.
Red, blue and yellow the colors of the new Collection items. He yelled at them "You damn thieves, you damn murderers I will take you down." They disappeared though before anyone could try and get to them. Aster City had just lost a great deal today, the new collection pieces were now in the hands of thieves and worst of all they had lost the Chasers the one thing protecting them from the Gangler.

Six Months Later
In a local casino kept hidden from public eye three people were walking in through the door. The one in the middle in red was a man with light skin and red hair and blue eyes with a confident smirk on his face, he was wearing a mask and considering where he was no one even looked his way.
He made his way to one of the dice games near the man who was clearly the boss of the casino. The man in blue who had come in with the man in red was taller than him by about 4 inches was an African American man with light facial hair carrying a serious look on his face.
He went over to the bar and after receiving a drink began to scan the room. The last one the only female among the 3 walked toward the boss. She had purple hair with one side of the hair long and one side shorter giving her an almost punk look, she was a bombshell and turned heads as she walked.
She walked over and began to flirt with the boss distracting him from his game. Eventually deeming that the boss was distracted walked over and accidentally knocked the drink he was carrying on the man. The boss got up annoyed "What do you think your doing."
The man in red began trying to wipe the man's shirt "Oh I'm so sorry I'm really clumsy you know." While the boss was distracted the girl in yellow grabbed something from the boss and walked away meeting blue at the entrance both walking out of the room.
After he had calmed down the boss and excused himself and left the casino going to join the other two. Now out of the room the three went up the stairs talking to themselves as they climbed to their escape.
The yellow one smiled "Not a bad plan Lance." Lance the one in red smiled "Of course my plans are always good." The one in blue interrupted him "Let's not get ahead of ourselves yet." The girl frowned "Reginald you are such a buzzkill."
Reginald frowned "Katie maybe we just shouldn't be celebrating yet." As they reached the roof and revealed their prize a large diamond the thieves smiled victorious until a large fireball nearly hit them.
The trio of thieves looked to see the boss of the casino accompanied by some skullmen "Where do you think you three are going." Lance smiled "No where actually we were just trying to draw you out." With that he threw the diamond away. The boss raised an eyebrow "If you aren't after my diamonds what are you after?"
Katie pointed to his chest "We want your collection item if you'll plesse." The boss laughed mutating into a frog looking monster with a safe in the middle of his belly "And what makes you think I'll just give it to you." Reginald stepped forward not amused by the threat "You assume we won't be taking it by force."
With that the three pulled out gun looking devices along with three different color planes. They placed them on the gun causing it to announce "Red, Blue, Yellow." The three turned the gun barrel up to have the planes upright as they put combinations on the dials of the planes.
After this the gun announced "Masquerade" The three pointed the guns into the sky before firing crying out "Phantoms disappear."
Morphing Sequence
The gun released a card which covered the three putting the ranger forms on them. Lastly a the card went over their face giving them their helmets and causing capes on their backs to form.

The three were now transformed and the boss now looked a bit scared "You, you're those thieves stealing our collection items." Lance laughed before snapping beginning a role call "PhantomRed" Reginald snapped as well "PhantomBlue" Katie not only snapped but a slight dance before announcing "PhantomYellow."
Now the three together Lance continued on "The thieves that plan to steal all your treasure and climb to the top of society we are." Now all three of them announced together "Power Rangers Phantoms"
Now as they began to charge into fight Lance announced one last thing "We'll be taking your treasure now." With that the three charged into battle aiming to steal the Ganglers item.

Meanwhile in a dark apartment a man laying on the couch hungover watched the news "We are reporting live in Aster City where the infamous Power Rangers Phantoms have appeared and seem to be fighting on the top of the building."
The man sat up looking at the tv. Keith Rowe threw the empty bottle at the TV uttering "Damn Thieves" He was left in the dark watching as the ones who killed his brother were taking over his beloved city.
