Hi minna! This isn't exactly my first fan fiction, but it's the first one that I've chosen to actually allow anyone but myself to read, so, please, no flames. Constructive criticism and advice are welcomed ^^, and if you like my story don't forget to leave a review!

This story will probably bounce a bit while I figure out what character to follow completely through, and will definitely be multiple chapters, though I've no idea how long each chapter might be, but anyway without further a do. I bring you Humble Beginnings, Chapter 1 c:

"Creisis!" An angry shout echoed through the guild hall, causing all the members present to fall silent and stared up at the icy blue haired guild master standing on the second floor balcony. Not a single member said a thing, or even made a sound for that matter, afraid of bringing down their Masters wrath upon them.

Footsteps could be heard coming from the other side of the guild and then a voice of a male with similarly colored hair spoke up, a smirk on his face. "Yes, Dear sister?"

Two pink haired heads poked out from behind the purple clocked female before they grinned and walked out from behind her. Both children seemed about the same age, had the same salmon pink hair, and wore just about the same clothing. The only way you could really tell the difference between the two, besides the obvious differences between Males and females, were their hairstyles and eye colors. The boy had wildly spiky hair and green eyes so dark they looked almost black, while the girls hair was down in a cascade of pink curls over her shoulders, but her bangs held at bay by a gold headband with Twilight Phoenix's guild symbol on it, and deep sapphire blue eyes like her fathers. Both youths wore black Capri's, a red shirt, black sandals, had a gold Twilight Phoenix symbol on their right shoulder, and were caked from head to toe with mud. Both of the children clung to the rails, sticking their heads right up to them and grinning.

"Daddy!"

"Natsu! Nanami! What are you doing up there? I thought I told you not to bug Auntie Naiya."

The two children didn't answer, and instead made a bee line for the stairs that led to the bottom floor and running down them, leaving a trail of muddy footprints in their wake. Watching the twins Naiya could only smile lovingly at her niece and nephew, chuckling softly as she spoke to her brother again. "I found them outback playing in the mud. The flower viewing party starts in four hours, and we've a two hour train ride ahead of us. I suggest getting them cleaned up and your things ready and packed. We'll be staying over night then departing in the morning, so be sure to pack enough." Smiling the bluenette glanced over her guild once more, making sure everything was in order and everyone had heard her, then returned to her office. The moment Naiya was out of sight the guild members went back to their various conversations; However, Criesis focused his attention on his son and daughter and grinned at the two of them. Standing up he grabbed Nanami and flipped her up onto his shoulders, laughter ringing from the little girl. Her brothers grin switch to a pout almost immediately. "Daddy, it's my turn! Nanami got to do it last time!" Chuckling the blue haired man squatted down so that he was eye level with his son and simply stared at his for a few moments before a smile creeped onto his face. Laughter erupted from the little mud covered boy as he scooped him up, causing Nanami to laugh as well as they exited out the guild hall doors.
