Jeanette and Jacques Frollo were with their son Claude. They were very pious people. Frollo was only nine years old. "Claude, I want you to be a Minister of Justice someday. I wish I had had the chance, but it didn't work out that way. I want you to bring justice to all of Paris." said Jacques. "I won't let you down Father." said young Claude Frollo.
"It's time for bed Claude. I want you to start your studies early tomorrow." said Jeanette. "Yes Mother." said Claude Frollo. He went to bed.
The Frollo family had gotten some wealth. Jacques and Jeanette had been more like peasants before they had gotten some wealth. Little did they realize that they'd lose most of it that night.
Some gypsies, who had been down on their luck, broke into the house and took most of the family coins. Jacques and Jeanette ran after them. "Stop thieves!" they cried. Young Claude had awoken and was too running out yelling after the thieves. Unfortunately, the thieves got away and never were found.
The Frollo family had had to sell a lot to make ends meet, but they managed. They all disliked gypsies strongly now. They had already not been fond of them, but this was indeed a turning point.
Despite not being too well off, young Claude didn't give up on his goal of being a Minister of Justice. He studied hard at the Academy and at Notre Dame. He rose through the ranks, quickly becoming the best in his class. He worked hard to pay for his education, as his family didn't have enough money to pay for it anymore on their own. He was determined to get revenge...one way or another!
