A/N: A quickie for a pairing that quickly grew on me. As for the name of the replica, I found it through other stories and thought it was rather fitting, hence I used it.
Warnings: Slightly AU, male x male relationships, tragedy (sort of), angst, and many others.
Pairing: Sora x Riku Replica.
Together When
Even a fake like me can see how real your feelings are.
Sora sighs as Namine prepares them for sleep. He never thought of the replica as a fake. He saw him as his own person, with his own feelings and heart. So what if he had the same appearance as his best friend? Even his voice was a little lower than the real Riku's. Everything besides appearance belonged to … what should he call him? Sora felt a little strange, always referring to him as a replica, so he tilts his head, trying to think of a name.
Reiku, his mind conjures up. Similar to Riku, except with an e. If he ever sees him again, he'll be sure to tell Reiku that he thought up a name for him, instead of always be referred to as fake.
As he steps in the pod, he hopes that Reiku can survive whatever horrors Castle Oblivion throws at him.

"Riku?"
"What is it?"
Sora eyes his best friend. "Whatever happened to Reiku?"
Riku raises an eyebrow at the pointed question. "Who's Reiku?" he inquiries after a few seconds of silence pass.
"You know … the one who looked like you. You could have been twins." Sora doesn't remember everything about this 'Reiku', but something in his heart told him that he was important, just like Namine.
"My replica," the older boy deadpans, glancing at Sora through the corner of his eye. "He came after me with the intent to kill me. I had no choice but to end him."
Sora feels his heart clench at the words. The one he unconsciously searched for was no longer a part of the world? He bit his lip before considering his next words. "Where do you think his heart went?"
"His heart?" Riku looks contemplative for a moment. "He was created, so I don't know where created hearts end up."
"Maybe he's back with you."
The silver haired boy raises both eyebrows at that. "Possibly," he murmurs. "But we'll never know for sure."
Sora nods. "Yeah."

When Sora dreams that night, he sees a boy with bright teal eyes and luminescent silver hair. The mysterious boy gives him a small smile, reaching out and stroking his face with a tender touch. "You didn't give up on me."
"Reiku…?"
"Is that what you're calling me?" Reiku snorts quietly. "You gave me a name and unconsciously searched for me. It's more than a fake like me deserves."
"You're not—!" the keyblade wielder tries to say, but he's cut off by warm lips pressing against his own. His bright blue eyes widen and he hesitantly kisses back, feeling his face heat up when Reiku pulls away with a triumphant smirk on his face. "What was that for?"
"That was my thank you." Reiku turns around. "I have to leave soon, Sora. I don't know if I can ever come back."
Sora nods and moves towards Reiku, placing his cheek against the taller boy's back and clutching his shirt with clenched fists. "I know. Your heart can't stay here forever, can it?"
"No. I'm surprised it stayed this long." Reiku moves away, causing Sora to grasp empty air until arms wrap around him and a kiss is bestowed upon his unruly brown locks. "Stay outta trouble, you hear? If you do something stupid, I just might have to come back and kick your ass myself."
Sora grins, but it quickly falls when he feels Reiku start to fade. "I promise. Will you be okay?"
"Yeah." The brunet looks up just in time to see Reiku's slightly tearful smile. "Goodbye, Sora."
It's then that Sora wakes up.
Fin.
