"Lucy-san!" Natsu let out a yell of fright as he was grabbed into one of Lucy's Studly Bomber. He never understood why he could even call her a friend when all she did was tease him and beat him up constantly. To make matters worse, she was doing it in front of the entire guild again and it was his birthday. Perhaps he deserved it. He did try to run away from her the moment she had called his name when she entered the guild but he couldn't help it. He just wanted to spend his birthday alone. Suddenly, her grasp loosen and he face planted the floor.
That's when the tears came. Why did she have to be so mean to him? He continued to cry until he was suddenly pulled up by his jacket. Natural instinct caused him to pull up his arms to protect his face while closing his eyes, but the sound of Lucy's order made him cautiously remove them. His eyes slowly open to the scowling blonde only to have a small box shoved in his face. Natsu blinked in confusion before taking the box, glancing up once at her. He then read the tag which assured him the box was addressed to him.
Taking a deep breath, he cautiously opened the box only for his eyes to grow wide. His hands pulled out a small toy car. It reminded him of his own vehicle which no longer ran. A tiny smile came to his face and he looked up to his teammate who was not looking him directly in the face anymore. "Thank you Lucy-san," he replied only to let out a yelp as he was pulled into a Screwdrive Crush.
