"I love you." Tikki murmured softly, glad to be back in Plagg's arms once again.
"Ew, gross." Plagg whined as his 'lady' stared him down, affection shifting to minor irritation.
"We're married!" She hissed, "Or the equivalent of it anyway."
Her partner grinned at her fondly and leaned in for a kiss.
"Ew." Came the flat, secretly amused, nose wrinkled reply. "Gross."
Tikki rolled her eyes, "You do know that you love me, right?" She'd spend years with him, certainly enough time to know that his love for her would never fade.
"May be." His neon green eyes lit up with genuine amusement, and she rolled her blue eyes back at him.
"So," She leaned against him, "You don't like the mushy stuff."
"Certainly not," Plagg grinned back at her, "I prefer the harder realities of life."
"You're just lazy." Tikki giggled with another eye roll.
"Oh, so just because I don't like acting like my chosens do, I must be lazy?" Plagg teased her.
She shook her head with another wide smile, "No, but you could try to surprise me sometimes just because."
"Don't I surprise you with my amazing presence?" Plagg asked her with a mischievous sparkle in his eyes.
"Yeah, you do at times," Tikki smiled a much softer smile now, "But not like that."
"You'll eat any flowers I gift you." Plagg shrugged.
"Not necessarily." Tikki hummed softly.
"You'd prefer chocolate to be in a cookie, and you've banned me from the kitchen. Plus, I don't have money, and I'd rather not try stealing from my chosen today." Plagg remarked, still sounding somewhat amused by all of this.
"I don't want you to steal." Her voice was soft and thoughtful, "And you don't have to buy it, Plagg."
"I can't speak the way that you do." He shrugged, and she understood what he meant; while she had patience and a soft, soothing voice, he did not have those qualities at all.
"I guess just be yourself." Tikki shrugged, wondering though if he'd understand if she wanted cuddles or a hug or to share a gentle and very sweet kiss together.
"I am myself." Plagg smirked; another wide grin taking root on his face.
"You are." Tikki smiled and figured that she'd sneak another kiss anyway; Plagg may complain, but she knew that he absolutely loved them anyway.
Plagg snuggled closer to her, pulling her closer and closer still, as they floated together, just off the ground enough and comfortable enough.
Tikki could spend all day like this with Plagg, and perhaps she would; days always seemed far too short for a Kwami as they spun out of the lives of their new chosens and back to waiting again, waiting to be reunited in form and spirit, waiting to have a new chosen to love and mentor.
She couldn't help but want just this for now though before life inevitably had them separate to handle some catastrophe; Tikki loved the soft, rumbling purr in Plagg's chest as they snuggled, loved how calm it made her, and how perfect this all seemed despite every last one of their flaws that they'd came to know so well.
