Chapter 1

"The darkling wouldn't do such a thing to me! And even if he did, I wouldn't let him" I said furious. "I do not want to hear a single thing anymore" I said and stalked out of the room before she could reply.

When I was inside my room I couldn't help myself anymore, tears started to stream over my face and I cried for what felt like hours. When I finally calmed down a bit, I heard a knock on the door. I stalked to the door and there I found the darkling. I completely forgot that he'd wanted to come by tonight.

I sighted and went to sit on my bed. "Alina what happened?" he asked very softly. "I just had a rough night."

He reached out to me and kissed my lips softly. I couldn't help it and said, "She told me you're using me." He let go of me as soon as I said it. "Who told you this?"

I didn't answer and just said "You created the fold? And now you want to enslave me to expand it."

He looked at me in disbelieve "I would never use you Alina."

"But you are planning on expanding the fold", it wasn't a question.

"I want peace, that's the only reason why I ever made the fold. The war is going on for over a century now. I think we finally deserve some peace."

"But it is on your conditions. No one has a say in it except for you. How do you think that is going to work out?" I looked him straight in the eyes.

"It is going to work just fine Alina. We are going to rule the world." It was just than that I realised that I had already decided what I was going to do, even before he even entered my room. I trust him.

He suddenly pressed his lips against mine, this time he kissed me with passion. It took me by surprise, bet hoked my legs around his waist and pushed my body against his. He dragged me to the bed and we rolled so he was on top of me. I knew where this was going, and I didn't mind. He began pulling on the buttons of my kefta and I stretched my arms so he could get it off. I threw it on the ground.

He licked my neck and a moan escaped my mouth. He kissed my neck downwards until he came by my bellybutton, I bit my lip to hold back a moan. His hands where everywhere and I pressed my body against his, wanting more.

When I awoke in the morning I found the darkling already gone.

I took a cold shower and went to Baghra's. When I arrived, Baghra was nowhere to be found. so, I decided to go to the library until it was time for Botkins class.
