I stood on the balcony watching the night slowly encroach on the twilight and blanket the kingdom in darkness. It had been a few hours since I'd gone crazy ripping; clawing and throwing anything and everything I could get my hands on until finally I crumpled to the floor. My throat still felt scratchy from the screams of heartwrentching agony that issued from my throat.
Softly there was a knock on the doorface as there was no door anymore, after I'd ripped it off and through it as far as it would go, "Sister?"
I looked over my shoulder at the massive figure standing in the doorway.
"What happened out there Thor?" I asked in a hoarse voice that sounded way more hash than I intended, "You said, you would bring him back."
"I said, I'd try." He corrected.
"This is trying?" I scoffed, "Good Job."
An awkward silence fell between us.
"I know you are hurt and scarred, right now-"
"No," I turned to face him, "This is not hurt or fear. This is anger!" I yelled and turned back, "And even though I know you love your brother You can not begin to understand what I am going though. I mean, Frigga and Odin lost their son. You have lost your brother. My sons have lost their father but no one understands what I have lost."
"I under-"
"No don't-, don't do that."
"What?"
"Don't pretend to empathize with me, Brother."
"Tell me, then, what is it you think you lost?"
"I don't think I lost it I know I lost my purpose."
"Sister."
Thor spun me around to face him and I collapsed against him a sobbing mess. I was crying so hard I didn't hear Sif come in carrying a tray of food and drink I gasped, "What's going to happen to us? Who's going to protect us now, my sons and I?"
"I will." Thor answered.
" I can't ask you to do that." I stepped back.
"It's already done. If anyone touches you or my nephews they will have to answer to me."
Suddenly, I became 'light-headed' and fell I heard someone scream "Princess" and before I passed out I thought I heard Sif tell Thor. "Oh my gods, Thor she's been blessed a third time."
