Title: The Spirit of the Wind, the Will of the Leaf
Fandom: Prince of Tennis
Pairing/Characters: Tezuka/Fuji-Mentions of Atobe/Tezuka
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Tezuka/Fuji-A record of their disfuctionality- He loves indefinitely with that potential, and Tezuka understands that he can't hold Fuji back.

It is a dance. Fuji knows it, Tezuka feigns ignorance.

Fuji is a free spirit, being a genius he envelops every aspect of his life in a fierce wind with endless potential to cause destruction.

He loves indefinitely with that potential, and Tezuka understands that he can't hold Fuji back. Men come and go, and Tezuka hides a smirk because he knows he's the only one Fuji keeps coming back to.

If Fuji is the wind in a storm, Tezuka is the tree whose branches sway following the angry breeze of the wind. Sometimes these branches break.

They love each other passionately, with urgency as if this is the last time. Fuji thinks that they're merged. The next day Tezuka leaves quietly for Germany.

Fuji wakes up to a lone note on the pillow. Wondering just when this dance included evasive maneuvers.

From a broken branch, a new one is born green and delicate.

Fuji discovers Tezuka is back, when he notices his back in a café. In front of that back that Fuji has raked with his nails, Atobe sits, with a smile on his face, sipping tea.

Fuji turns around and walks away. A feeling he can't quite define pressing down on his chest. He feels something on his neck, Fuji turns around. He is alone.

Sometimes these newborns grow crooked, looking for a wrong source of sunlight. They need to be cut, and replaced by new ones.

Fuji calls Tezuka. Until now the dance did not involve seeking each other out. Atobe answers, Fuji smiles and asks for Tezuka. That night they meet.

They melt into each other's arms. Each thrust brings Fuji closer to that beautiful blank place filled with bliss.

The wind and the green leaves move together. Suddenly the wind stops.

Fuji knows Tezuka will go back to Atobe the next day. He doesn't care. He does not even worry if Tezuka and Atobe fly to Germany and he never sees them again. He knows that he and Tezuka have shared enough to carry them on to another life. Ultimately they will yearn for each other.

A leaf is plucked out by the wind. It dances.
