p style="margin-bottom: .11in;"span style="font-size: 14pt;"Epilogue: Augustus waters was a hero. Everyone thinks that a hero does something, but that is not true. Augustus waters wanted to leave a mark as a hero. He was modest and threw down anyone's idea of him already being a hero. He was so concerned about leaving a widely known about mark, but it infuriated me. He should have gotten more time. But I was grateful for how much of that time he used for me. He made a mark on me, and it was no scar. I am Hazel Grace Lancaster. I wish he knew how much of a mark he made on me. I love him with every fiber, cell, and molecule in my body. He may have thought his demise was unheroic, but it was the most heroic one possible. It was a constant battle between himself, and himself. Even though he may have sat in his own piss, I thought of it being more than that. He was heroic because he had the bravery of someone who had already won their war, like he did the first time./span/p
p style="line-height: 107%;"span style="font-size: 11pt;"He had the bravery to try and get a pack of cigarettes, to announce his own prefuneral. He had the bravery to set down his life on a grenade, me and the video game one. He saved both, but left sorrow. This is my goodbye, and my thanks. His stars were unfortunate, but he never once complained. There was no reason anyone could hate him. His hamartia was heroism. He was always a hero, fighting to stay and protect. He used his wish for me, he never said he used it on me. He did it gratefully with no complained. I am ever in debt to Augustus, he used his time, and wish for me. I love him, and I'm happy that our stars were crossed./span/p
