She was hurting and it was all due to the man she loved above everyone else, she searched through the cargo bay for something dark and very intoxicating to help drown her sorrows but found nothing clearly the ship was in dire need of a full stock of just about everything. The ships cook had tried to throw her out of his kitchen but he instantly ran once she pulled a gun on him, then grabbed several bottles of numerous alcoholic beverages and took everything of hers up to her cabin.

''Joker do you know what happened on Horizon?'' asked Miranda as she wondered into the cockpit

''I heard Alenko was down there, but other than that I don't know''

''That doesn't help'' she muttered

Joker turned his chair around to look at the ships Executive Officer with a critical eye

''What's going on?'' he dared to ask

''She pulled a gun on our cook while she was looking for alcohol'' said Miranda

''Shit'' hissed Joker and he ordered EDI to take over for a while and then asked her to get Garrus to meet him outside her cabin

''What's going on?'' asked Miranda

Joker got out of his chair and begun to hobble to the elevator with Miranda close by

''Joker I need to know what's going on?'' barked Miranda

''Damn it this isn't good''

''What's going on?'' asked Garrus as the elevator doors opened

''Shepard cleared the kitchen of alcohol'' sighed Joker

''Please tell me she dropped off her gear once we were back?''

''No she went to the kitchen and pulled a gun on our cook'' sighed Joker

''Shit, I really didn't feel like trying to disarm her on this trip'' sighed Garrus as Joker and Miranda entered the elevator

''What happened down there?'' asked Joker

''I don't know….., I grabbed Mordin and pulled him away to give the lovebirds a little privacy the next thing I know I've gotten a call from you'' hissed Garrus

''Do you want to punch him or shall I?'' asked Joker

''I'll punch him. You can run him over with your baby'' smiled Garrus

''Deal'' nodded Joker as the pair shook hands to the agreement

''What's going on?'' shouted Miranda

''She's heartbroken and not dealing with it?'' replied Garrus with his arms crossed and a look that was ready to kill Kaidan

''We're going to up to drag her arse out of it before she kills herself'' finished Joker

''Wait where's the booze?'' asked Garrus as he stopped the elevator

''She grabbed every last drop from the kitchen from the complaint I got that informed me that Shepard pulled a gun on our cook'' hissed Miranda

''Damn she's in deep'' hissed Garrus as the elevator started up again

''I'm going to be sore tomorrow'' hissed Joker

Once they were at the top, Miranda stayed inside. ''Keep me informed of the situation''

''Sure whatever'' said Joker as he waved her off allowing Garrus to press the bell for her room.

The seal on the door turned red

''Great looks like I get to hack my way through again'' sighed Garrus

''Wouldn't be the first time'' muttered Joker

''For some reason I don't think it'll be the last either'' Garrus sighed as he knelt down and pulled up his omni-tool in order to break into her cabin. ''So where we headed to now?'' asked Garrus

''The Citadel''

''I hope Alenko is there when we get there I need to have some words with him'' snapped Garrus

''You and me both'' smirked Joker

''You might want to stay here until I know she's not armed'' smiled Garrus

''True we both you can dodge bullets, rockets on the other hand are a different story'' teased Joker

''Hey at least it's a good war story to help me laid when all of this is over'' smiled Garrus as the lock begun to co-operate with him. ''Have you spoken to Alenko since you joined up?''

''Yeah, because it's a great idea for the guy who killed his girlfriend to pop up and say oh by the way the love of your life is around and kicking as we try to save the galaxy a second time and we're being paid by Cerberous to do it''

''When you put it like that'' laughed Garrus noticing that the door lock has been overridden. ''I was there when it all went to hell, I don't blame you for what happened and I sure as hell know she doesn't blame you either''

''Thanks man but that doesn't exactly make me feel better about it''

''You should talk to her, once I know she isn't armed''

''After you then'' gestured Joker as she made a point to stand well away from any line of fire.

''Shepard'' called Garrus

Click

''God damn stupid piece of bastard tech…'' barked Shepard as she realised her gun was all out of ammo, so she threw it across her already trashed room.

''She's clean'' shouted Garrus allowing a rather sheepish Joker to hobble in

''Damn commander you really know how to break a joint'' whistled Joker

''Piss off the pair of you can't you see I don't need this shit from either of you'' threatened Shepard as she sat against the debris that was once her room

''We didn't come here to give you a hard time'' said Garrus as he noticed that she had also taken all of the dextro booze from the kitchen, then opened the bottle to see just how much she had consumed, only to take a swig himself when he noticed the perfectly preserved picture of her and Alenko side by side on their last shore leave together once they had taken down Saren

''Come on Commander this isn't you'' pleaded Joker as he hobbled over and sat next to not only his superior officer but a dear friend

Garrus grabbed a beer for Joker and leaned down to pass it to him before he grabbed what appeared to be what was once a desk chair and turned it round so he could sit with a dear friend and do whatever it took to help her through a hard time.

''I'm so fucking naive'' hissed Shepard as she pulled of the armour around her arms

''What happened between you and Alenko?'' dared Garrus

''He hugged me, then accused me of betraying him'' she said with clear tears in her eyes''

''That rat bastard, I'm going to kill him'' hissed Garrus

''That's low even for him'' sighed Joker as he took a swig of his beer

''He was always straight up with me, knew if anyone would have my back til the end of the universe it would be him'' she said with tears in her eyes

''Hey what about me?'' whined Garrus

''Garrus, your my best friend, Kaidan ….. I thought he was my soul mate and now…'' that was when the tears flowed

Joker allowed Shepard to cling to his chest, no one had seen her cry like this, Garrus was clearly worried as was Joker.
