Alex POV
It was my first day at Camp Half-Blood. Everything was amazing! I didn't know who my parent was, but I didn't really mind. At least my life was somewhat interesting. Annabeth Chase showed me all the cabins, the wood, the lake and the training area. Then, she left me alone to let it all sink in. I was sitting by the campfire when I heard a voice behind me.
"So, you're the new kid, huh?" I turned around and saw a very pretty girl standing there. She had long black hair, pale skin and misty silver eyes. She smiled at me.
"I'm Luna, by the way. Daughter of Chaos."
I smiled back. "I'm Alex and I don't know who my parent is." Luna nodded slightly.
"Well, I'll see you around." She turned and ran in the direction of the lake. I watched her go and wondered why she was going there. No one went to the lake unless it was training.
"Hey! Alex!" I turned around again and saw Percy Jackson striding toward me. "What were you looking at?" He asked, looking slightly confused
"Oh, I was just watching someone go down to the lake." Percy looked even more confused.
"Who?" He asked, his eyebrows crinkling with confusion.
"She said her name was Luna." Percy's eyes widened.
"Alex there is no one here named Luna. There was one about 15 years ago, but she drowned in the lake."
