Chapter 1: Go big or go home
Hinano didn't know what to make of the green knife ebbed into the tree, merely inches away from her face.
Um….
Her friend Hinata, however, decided to be more vocal about it.
"What the-! Since when do we get that serious during training?" Her head swerved to the direction it was thrown. "Who threw that?!" The girl looked around for the culprit, quickly finding a piercing yellow-eyed gaze directed at the stunned orange haired girl.
"Itona! Are you trying to kill Hinano?!"
"No," was the boy's unfazed reply.
In fact, what he was doing was along the lines of being the complete opposite. He spoke to the animal-loving girl, a serious stare meeting her curious ones.
"There's a note tied to the knife. Read it."
Turning her head to the knife once more, Hinano noticed there was indeed a small piece of parchment. Gently, she unraveled it to read its contents.
Dear Nature Woman,
You're the Jane to my Tarzan.
A.K.A. I think you're hot. Please go out with me.
Itona
The girl's cheeks flamed instantly, so much so that she was rendered speechless and unmoving and Hinata wondered what caused her friend to have such a reaction. Looking over her shoulder, her face suddenly grew red too, however, more in anger and not just embarrassment. Hinata abruptly turned her attention to the boy's retreating figure.
"W-What the hell kind of confession is that?! Hey! Itona get back here! We're not done-! …Wait, Hinano why are you laughing?! Are you okay?!"
Itona began walking away from the two and contemplated whether or not he had succeeded in a 'perfect confession'.
Was it too risky? Straightforward? No, according to Okajima and Maehara, girls love a dangerous and cool approach. They even helped him write the note.
Maybe a tad too dangerous? But, Karma said using a knife would be the best way to get her attention.
"Ow!"
Suddenly, his musings were cut short, ironically, by the same imposing green knife colliding with his head.
A note was once again wrapped around it, though pink this time around. Bending down to pick the knife up, Itona took the paper and without a moment's notice, unfolded it.
Dear techno-tentacle-kun,
Catch me a wild beast and maybe I'll say yes. ^-^
Hinano
Well.
Feeling the corners of his lips tilt up slightly, the boy shoved the note in his pocket and resumed walking, wondering whether or not Terasaka counted as a wild beast.
This was really dumb I know but I've been meaning to write something and this garbage just came out so... Itona and Hinano just happen to be my favorite characters of the series and since AssClass is done, I needed something to ease my shipper feels.
I don't know if this is going to be a standalone or if I'll actually turn it into a series. I do want to though. If I do make more chapters, they'll most likely be unrelated to each other, so like just a bunch of oneshots and prompts for fun.
Don't blame me guys, this is the pain of shipping a rare pair.
