Salazar found her eyes… nice.

"Green's my color," he would tell her, because her eyes were the same color as emeralds and snakes, but that color belonged to his house, not hers.

Whenever he would tell this to her, her green eyes would sparkle, making Salazar like them even more and relate them further to emeralds, and she would shake her head and smile at him.

"Yet you have blue eyes. I could just as easily claim that blue is my color and you are stealing it."

His eyes, while not quite the exact same shade, were, in fact, blue, which was Rowena's house's color, not Salazar's.

"Personally, I'm actually fine with it," Rowena would continue. "I think the colors… compliment each other."

And her green eyes would stare into his blue ones and Salazar would decide, in that moment, that he really liked that shade of green. Especially on her. She was better than any emerald.

"You might just be right," he would say with a slight smirk on his face. "You know, I think we compliment each other. Not just the colors." He'd give her a little wink and she wouldn't blush, because she was far too used to Salazar and everything he said.

"Salazar Slytherin, are you hitting on me?"

"Rowena Ravenclaw, I have every right to, my dear lady." Salazar would peck his on the lips, closing his blue eyes and making her close her green ones. "When we have been married for two years, I would think that I have every right to hit on you. That's why I married you in the first place, actually. Just so I could hit on you."

"You're slightly crazy, you know that?" she'd reply, returning and deepening the kiss.

"That's why you love me," he would remark, completely correct.
