Hey guys! This is just a small one shot for NaLu Week Day 3! This is actually my first NaLu week, so I wanted to do something for it. Hope you enjoy!

Natsu sighed, opening his eyes to the familiar setting of Lucy's apartment. The girl herself was on her bed, curled into the crook of Natsu's arm, her face buried in his neck. After the Grand Magic Games, she stopped getting mad at him for breaking into her apartment and sleeping in her bed. She knew what they had gone through, and they both knew that they needed to be near each other.

He was overcome with the surprising urge to protect the spunky blonde, but no matter what Lucy had told him, he still felt like he had failed at that in the last few months. Thankfully she had survived, but sometimes the calls were too close for his liking. But one thing was for sure: She was strong. So strong. Overwhelmingly strong, but she didn't realize it. He knew she felt like she was the weakest person on the team, but he simply couldn't convince her that she was amazing in every way.

When he tried to tell her that when she smiled, she would shine like a star, and the world would fade away, she would tell him quite seriously that she had better not smile anymore, otherwise the world would fade away and they would all die. When he tried to tell her that she was strong for holding out against Flare when Asuka's life was threatened, she would only tell him that she couldn't do anything to end the threat. When he told her how strong she was to survive Minerva's attack like that, she would blush and mumble about how she did nothing to fight back. When he told her about how when she died, he felt like his heart had crumbled into an infinite amount of Lucy shaped pieces, and his every single precious second he spent with her flashed before his eyes, she- Oh wait, he hadn't told her yet.

Now, he knew everyone thought he was dense. It wasn't that he couldn't think things through, it was just more fun when he didn't. But he didn't have to think to know that Lucy's future was bright, and he was going to dedicate his every second to making her laugh. Why? Because... He loved her. Honestly, how hard was it to fall for the most dazzling creature in the world? Honestly he's surprised not very many people had tried making a move on her. But he was glad, because Lucy was his. He belonged to her and she belonged to him. They fit together. A perfect match.

He smiled down at her. She made a noise in her sleep, then rolled over. Although honestly, he some times thought that Lucy was just as dense as him. He doubted she even knew about the way she made his heart go doki doki. But that didn't matter, because he would give her all the time she needed.
