A/N: I do not own any of the characters, nor do I own the quote at the beginning. Just a little headcanon scenario where Fitz and Simmons are watching the Doomsday episode of Doctor Who. This is just a short fic that I decided to write to take a short break from my other FitzSimmons fic In the moment.

"Quite right too. And I suppose, if it's my last chance to say it. Rose Tyler –"

Jemma could feel the tears forming at the edge of her eyes as she watched the devastating events unfolding on the screen. Before she knew it, she felt the tears streaming down her face. She sniffled, clinging tighter on to Leo. Leo tensed at the somewhat overly intimate gesture of their apparent platonic friendship, but instinctively held Jemma even closer. Best friends can cuddle without it being romantic, he assured himself uncertainly.

Jemma sighed as the episode rolled the end credits, her eyes heavy with fatigue. Soon enough, her eyes began to drift shut, lulled by sleep and the peacefulness of the situation, but she was alerted awake when Leo shifted by her side. Having been stirred awake from unconsciousness, only then did she realise that she still had her arms wrapped tightly around Leo. She drew her arms back suddenly, a slight blush spreading across her porcelain cheeks.

"Oh… Uhhh… I'm sorry," she muttered, "You should probably get back to your own bunk now, right?" She moved an inch away from Leo, allowing him more space to be able to properly move around on her bed. She stood up, as if to escort him to the door, but sat back down when she realised that the door was only a mere foot away and there was already hardly any space for even one person to comfortably walk around the tiny space that was her bunk.

"Err… yes, I should probably go now," Fitz blurted out, suddenly feeling hot all over. Unless you want me to stay, he thought to himself, but the words did not leave his lips. He saw the blush that crept up on her cheeks and a slight smile tugged at the corners of his mouth before he could stop himself. He shuffled about on her bed, heading towards the direction of the door. In his haste to leave, he stumbled clumsily over Jemma's shoes.

Unable to control herself, a small giggle escaped Jemma's lips as she watched him trip over items that were strewn over her floor. She made a mental note to properly clean up after herself for next time.

"Oh! Don't forget your shoes," she said, averting her eyes from meeting his. She pointed at the black leather boots that was placed carefully by the door, out of harm's way unlike her own. What's wrong with me? It's just Leo. Then, why am I suddenly so nervous? Her thoughts ran restlessly through her mind.

"Right," Leo chuckled, awkwardly. He picked up his boots before turning back towards the door.

"Good night," Jemma said softly. He heard her yawn as he ducked out through the door.

"Good night to you too," Leo replied quietly, smiling to himself as he started to walk towards his own bunk. Without knowing why, he felt quite giddy as he took those few steps back to his bunk. Lying down on his own bed, he could still feel the ghost imprint of Jemma's slim arms wrapped tightly around his form and his smile grew ever so wider.
