She thought that this would make her happy, put every piece into place, but it didn't. Breaking someone else didn't fix her. Seeing someone else's tears didn't stop hers. She hoped that seeing them fight would end her own battles. She was wrong.
Seeing another mess she'd caused just increased hers. Watching someone else's cries only brought more to her. Knowing that her enemy was miserable brought her more despair.
Tess Tyler dug herself a ditch; and pulled everyone else into it with her.
They all thought he was stupid, naïve even, but he was only hiding the insight that had caused his own troubles. Being smart and figuring things out had brought death to so many innocent people. He wouldn't let anyone else be hurt.
But he still recognized so much from behind his mask. He knew every person inside and out before even saying a word to them.
No one would ever know of his inner-genius because Jason Lucas wasn't going to let anyone else die.
He pretended that he was all business; he made people think that he just cared about their job. But inside his hard shell, he was holding on to the one thing he hoped would never change. He protected the only inanimate thing he loved because it affected so many.
People depended on their career, so if that stayed, everyone was happy. And he had forced himself to believe that he would be happy too.

He would yell and scream, but all of his tantrums were a cover up for the tears he didn't want people to see. He was afraid to show hurt because it had been his mother's downfall.
To him, tears and pain were weaknesses that everyone would use against you. He was raised to believe that if you could turn these into anger, or strength, then you would win. That's why he was a jerk.
Shane Gray only ever expressed anger because the opposite of strength is weakness, and tears are weak.

Her past was not a pretty one, and she'd never had many people care about her. That is why she lied, to know what it felt like to have people care about her. But everything blew up in her face and she lost the person who now had her heart.
She would now sign the "We Hate Mitchie Torres" petition because she too hated every bit of her own being.
