The Son I Should've Known
A/N: Hey guys! Finally, I thought of another story! Okay, so I hope to update my other two Les Mis stories soon. To those who still don't know about those stories, it's the first one, 'The Unexpected Relationship', and its sequel, 'We're Family'. Please go check them out and go review, 'We're Family' is very lacking in reviews. Okay, on with this very big plot twisted story.
Summary: There are many unexpected twists in Les Miserables fanfiction. But, how about this plot twist: One of the Amis is Valjean's sister's son. This is what this story is all about! Rated T to be safe.
Disclaimer: I do not own Les Miserable. Not the novel, musical or any movie adaptation. I'm just a fan, end of story.
Valjean decided that it was a good day to give alms in the slums of Paris. He told this to his beloved Cosette, who happily accepted the offer. He smiled at the thought of her. She was his life.
"Here we are, darling. Come on, follow me." Valjean asked his daughter to follow him.
"Of course, Papa." Cosette smiled excitedly. She just absolutely loved going out and seeing how the country was doing.
A few hours had passed, and Valjean had guessed that it was already three thirty in the afternoon.
"It's time to go, Cosette." He called.
"Alright, I'm quite tired anyway, Papa." Cosette let out an exhausted but still a bit cheery sigh. Her cheeks were turning a shade of bright pink. It was most probably due to the heat.
"Let's go fetch us a carriage then."
As Valjean was on his way to the alleyway which would lead him to finding a carriage, he stopped when he saw a protest going on. It was coming from a group of students.
He saw lots of things like these in his time, but he got so attracted to the protest because of a certain man. His hair was sandy blonde, and he took his place right beside a man with golden locks and a red jacket. He looked so familiar, he reminded Valjean of...his sister. His sister who he never saw again right after he was captured, his sister who he missed so dearly, his sister who was his only family for many years.
"Father, are we going to go to the alleyway yet?" Cosette's voice broke him away from his thought.
"Of course, darling, let us go."
"Father, are you alright? You look pale."
"Yes, I am alright, mon ange." He reassured her before running a hand through his hair. He was going to find the boy, somehow.
A/N: Do you guys know who the Amis is? Technically given that it's not Enjolras. So, who could it be? I hope you guys will stick with me as I continue to write this story. Please review! It is a big motivation for me, really. Especially now that I'm going to school. As for my rule, if no one follows, favorites or reviews, I'm taking this down. I hope you don't want that to happen, so do any of the three! Bye, until next time!
