TOO ATTACHED

The Captain was becoming too attached to the team. Skipper was too attached to his team. Skipper trusted them too much. He thought he knew everyone's strengths and weaknesses very well. He knew personal information about his team that no captain actually would bother to find out. He was too lenient. He was too compassionate and understanding. That's why his team liked him. He didn't torture them. He cared for their needs instead of ordering them to do work every second.

They acted too much like a family. They were too friendly around each other. They were too attached to each other, more than other teams of vigilantes and operatives.

Skipper was well aware that the bond between him and his brothers wasn't unnoticed. Everyone noticed it. He has tried to shut down everyone from knowing about his personal life, even Marlene, but he reveals his secret personas and classified information about himself to his brothers.

And that's why he's really really pissed. His one and only, really annoying archenemy, Hans, had kidnapped his team to lure him, instead of the classic kidnap the leader to lure the pack. Of course he should have seen this coming, Hans was one who didn't like to follow classics. Now he didn't know how his team was doing, where they were being held, whether they were still in the right state of mind - believe that, Hans can drive people crazy, Skipper actually lost the capacity to think clearly for a while after the Denmark incident with Hans. He was actually given leave from missions for that period of time too.

There he was, locking himself inside the HQ, early in the morning, looking for clues, analysing the video tape that Hans had left in his HQ on purpose, just to get on his nerves. The video tape had already been inserted in the DVD player below the TV. Skipper decided to play it one more time to check for clues he may have missed.

"Hello, Skipper my old chum!" A malicious smirk followed. Followed by Skipper throwing the stress ball across the room.

"As you can see I have kidnapped your three teammates, or should I say, your family?" Skipper tried to keep his cool.

The screen showed three figures tied up to three chairs, backs facing each other, black tape around their beaks in a dark room. Skipper could make out three tub like things placed in front of each chair - how dare Hans threaten to water-board his own men!

'Just hold on guys, I will come for you, stay strong, don't let the madmen get to you...' Skipper whispered to himself, though his words would not reach his brothers.

"I think you get the picture right now - (evil laughter) - and you're smart enough to know where I would be.

If you dare, come face me,

To finish

What you started

In Denmark."

When Skipper first viewed the video, he was stunned, shocked, unable to move for a couple of seconds. Now, he was trying to keep his emotions under control and focus at the mission at hand.

"If you do not," gesturing to Skipper's brothers, "they won't escape this unscathed this time. Don't test me, Skippy."

Skipper continued searching and locating his teammates, before coming up with his rescue plan. He checked for loopholes, came up with back-up plans and went through his main plan in his head again.

'I'm coming for you boys.' He whispered into the darkness of the morning with renewed resolve.

'Today, you will regret laying a hand on my family, Hans.' He stated confidently and disappeared out of the zoo stealthily, executing his rescue operation.

Everyone's stealing my time. School, classmates, people... (sigh)
