Summary: For a long time, Goku dreamed in sweetness.
In the cage, Goku is hungry for more things than food. His skin hungers for warmth honey, syrup, served steaming with little golden cakes; his eyes for anything other than the dull blue of the sky that swirls him on into an eternity of loneliness and the sky unwinds him as thin as a strand of nectar from a flower. His brain keeps harmony with his stomach, crying in a cacophony for memories to fill it.
The snow falls in gentle drifts, dancing on air. Goku sticks his tongue out, and, for just a moment, tastes powdered sugar in the cold.
