Every friend of his had been fetched by their parents, but not him.
He remembers the time Neji said to him "'along the road jumps the lone frog but never does he reaches the sky.' You are that frog, Naruto. It is destiny."
But Naruto replied "Don't compare me to a frog! Some day, I'll become a Hokage! Just wait and see!"
And Neji left

He was walking, looking for Naruto
'Where the hell is that idiot?!' he thought
Then, he saw him, back to the same place he always was
'Huh? He's spaced out' he thought

Sasuke tapped Naruto on the shoulder, shaking him back from dreamland
Naruto looked up with tears on his face. He noticed this and quickly wiped them off.
'What?' was what Sasuke wanted to say but knew better and just left it as it was.
"Hey, you were late you idiot! You keep bugging me to fight you and you just stand me up?!"
"Oh, yeah, I forgot. Sorry. Hehe" he said, trying to force a smile
"Sigh. Maybe some other day." Said Sasuke, helping his friend to stand up
"Hehehe!" he said smugly, for no reason at all.

They walked up to their apartments, bade good-bye and walked away
"Oh yeah," said Sasuke before he walked too far. This in turn made Naruto turn back
"What?" he asked.
Sasuke was fiddling with his pocket, looking for something, "Here," he tossed it and Naruto caught it, "Your birthday present"
Naruto was just staring at it, and then said "Haha, thanks!"
