Maybe I'm a Lion
by TacomaSquall
We fought so far to get here,
To thwart your ambitions.
We have seen the cost if we lose,
So defeat is unthinkable.
You stood against us,
Then we drove you back.
We weren't prepared for
Your next action.
From my heart,
You ripped my strength,
My hopes and dreams,
And made them a mockery.
All that I am,
All that I want to be,
You brought into being -
A twisted parody.
One more crime you've committed,
Now, one more price to pay,
This time, we will not
Let you escape.
Even through my horror,
I find determination.
Despite the wounds you have dealt,
We will not give up.
You see,
You'd make me into a monster,
But I am not that.
I am not Griever.
What you show here is a lie,
And maybe, I'm a lion.
