Никого не пощадила эта осень

(The Fall has spared no one)
Даже солнце не в ту сторону упало.

(Even the sun has set in the east)
Вот и листья разлетаются как гости

(And you can see the leaves flying away)
После бала, после бала, после бала…

(Like guests after the party)

"I like the fall" – whispered Danny lying motionless in Mac's arms, - "I don't know how to explain that but I associate it with you".
Mac lay beside him and slowly stroked his blonde hair. When Danny uttered that philosophically he just hemmed.

"I'm serious, Mac. Just think. On one hand – the fall is not summer already.
"Valuable remark" - Mac teased his lover.
Danny rolled over on his stomach to look at Mac.

"I mean, you are not a boy, but a man over 45You are many-sided. No, wait. You are multicolored. Like the fall of the leaves. You're like rough seasoned wine. To understand you, one must taste you well you well."
Mac said nothing, just looked into the younger CSI's eyes closely. They were as blue as the sky.
"I always loved autumn for the fall of the leaves" – Danny kept on – "Know what, when I was a child, I adored coming to the park in windy weather. The leaves flew pass me: vinous, yellow, green… I'd lay down on the large heap of fallen leaves and watchthe clouds passing by. And I felt free. Free of the worries and problems of the day. The only thing that mattered was the fall of leaves. And, you know, I used to invent stories about the leaves".
"Danny" – whispered Mac – "What happened to you lately? You used to be reserved and know…"

Danny moved closer and kissed Mac, gently and swiftly.
"I just realized that I'd found my happiness. What'd happened to us reminded me of one of the stories I invented"

A deep sigh escaped Danny's lips.

"Once in late autumn I came to the park. There were nearly no leaves on the trees. But there were some on one old oak tree. It was as if they were pasted to each otherSo those two leaves quivered under the gust of the wind. I looked at them and waited for the wind to tear them away. Finally one of them gave up and whirled in the rhythm of the wind. It was strange but the second leaf immediately followed the first one. It seemed trying its best to catch up the other one. And it succeeded right before falling to the earth. In spite of all obstacles they were together again".
Danny put his head on Mac's shoulder.
"So I picked them up. I thought they'd endured a lot. I kept them, dried them and put under glass They're like us. No matter what fate brought us, we ended up together all the same.
Mac smiled. Sometimes Danny grasped the life like a child: enthusiastically, as if it were a miracle.
"Let's go to the park" – he offered - "You can show me that oak tree".
"Do you really want that?" – Danny asked, and his eyes beamed with that spark of happiness, which had attracted Mac's attention when they first met, and which Mac tried to retain in his lover in spite of all difficulties they had had to overcome.
"Yes, I want that" – whispered Mac – "But first, I think, we should have a sleep"

Danny nodded and soon dozed off. But Mac didn'; he lay there and watched the opposite wall where two oak leaves rested in amber frame.
