This is pre FOTR for this takes place in Aragorn's youth.
For my long AU modern story – I am sad to say it is on hold because of my computer's internet crashing, so I can't upload it. This story is on the laptop and I am trying to get my computer fixed.
Summary: When Legolas visits after missing Estel's ninth birthday, he wonders why
Disclaimer: I don't own anyone or thing
Just a question: Who else has notice that Aragorn marries his sister? Elrond is Arwen's father and Elrond is Aragorn's adopted father, making them adopted brother and sister.
April 5th 2940 T.A. Imladris*
A small boy sat at the steps of the palace at Imladris, the city of the fair realm of Rivendell, ruled by Lord Elrond Half-Elven. The boy had just turned nine years old, a few weeks earlier. This boy had medium dark brown hair that hung lose and grey eyes. He wore a tunic and leggings of purples and blues with boots. His name was Estel, the youngest son of Elrond. Now Estel was not an Elf, like his father and brothers and his elder sister, he had heard about but never met. He was a human.
Estel had a reason to be sitting on the steps. He was waiting for his friend from Mirkwood to arrive. The Elf, who had promised to visit for his birthday, sent a letter earlier saying that he was sorry about missing it, but because of something that had popped up, he would be late.
He smiled, hearing the hoof beats of a horse. His friend was nearly here.
He got up seeing a white horse come racing into the courtyard. The Elf on it, jumped off, and petted the horse. The Elf was a male with long golden hair and icy blue eyes, dressed in greens and browns of the forest. His name was Legolas Thranduilion, the only son of King Thranduil of Mirkwood.
"Hello, Estel," Legolas grinned at the young human who when tackled him to the ground in a hug.
"I missed you!" Estel said.
"And as did I," Legolas replied, sitting up.
"Why didn't you come for my birthday?" Estel asked, crossing his arms and failing to look tough.
"I was … a little wrapped up," he replied.
"Literacy …?"
"… Or figuratively speaking?"
Both the young human and blond Elf turned to see two twin dark haired Elves, one in purple, the other in blue, standing at the top of the steps. They were Elladan and Elrohir, the twin sons of Elrond and Estel's elder brothers.
Legolas rubbed the back of his neck, and smile sheepishly. "Literacy."
Estel stared at Legolas. How could you literacy be wrapped up?
"You really need to stop going out into the forest alone," Elrohir said.
"I wasn't alone!" Legolas argued. "It was with a group of warriors. I just got away from them, run into spiders and it was a little blurry until I freed myself using my twin knifes."
"Come on, Tithen Las," Elladan said, wrapping an arm around the prince.
"It's time to greet Ada," Elrohir finished, wrapping his other arm around Legolas and they walked off. "Come on, Estel," Elrohir called and the human boy followed. It was good to have Legolas back in Rivendell. Until, of course, he and twins either pull a prank or go hunting and come back nearly dead.
Life went on as usual.
The End
Elvish:
Estel – Hope (Aragorn's name when he was growing up – just to say that Estel is Aragorn)
Tithen Las – Little Leaf (Annoying pet name of Legolas' given to him by his father – twins enjoy using it)
Ada – Father/Daddy
* I remember reading somewhere that Aragorn was born in March in the year of 2931 of the Third Age. I believe it was near the end of March, but if you know the correct date that would be nice.
Well please RnR this story! Please?
